Teamed with the AXS-R7, recording in the new X-OCN format with 16-bit scene linear tonal gradation retains the camera’s full dynamic range. And with support for the expanded Rec.2020 color space—and Sony’s acclaimed S-Gamut3 that’s even wider—shooting in 4K with the PMW-F55 extends the shelf-life and commercial appeal of your precious content.

Weighing just 2.2 kg (without lens and accessories), the compact, easy to handle body of the PMW-F55 belies its immense versatility. Built up with a generous range of lenses, adaptors, and other add-ons, it’s ideal as a shoulder-mounted camera. Adding the optional CBK-55PD codec board gives you even more options for great-looking content, with support for Apple ProRes and DNxHD.

Recent enhancements include support for S-Gamut3/Rec.2020 color spaces, plus a Quick Menu for instant access to regularly used functions.
