The Decimator MD-HX is a very compact, low-cost device that supports HDMI and SDI cross-conversion, scaling, and frame rate conversion. It will scale and convert either HDMI or SDI inputs to any required standard resolutions and frame rates.
The MD-HX supports 3G level A and B at both input and output, while horizontal and vertical image flipping is made possible through the built-in scaler. It includes two active loop-through (3G/HD/SD)-SDI outputs that can be utilized for additional outputs.
It comes in a solid aluminum case housing with a USB port for control and firmware updates. It is now equipped with a metal thread locking DC power socket for increased reliability and is supplied with a power supply, HDMI cable, and USB cable.
Operating the MD-HX couldn't be easier with its intuitive LCD screen and button-based control system-no dip switches or attached computer required for easy adjustments. The MD-HX has one HDMI output and two pairs of switchable 3G-SDI output with 14 conversion modes available, for just about any workflow.
Note: Firmware Release 2.0.6 adds support for 3G-SDI Level B 1080p60/59.94/50 to this model, along with the ability to set the SDI output to 3G level A or B and convert from A to B. It also allows for horizontal and vertical image flipping via the built-in scaler.
