Blackmagic Web Presenter is a comprehensive streaming solution that includes a dedicated hardware streaming engine for direct Ethernet streaming to YouTube, Facebook, and Twitter. It functions similarly to a modern broadcast television transmitter, but for a global streaming audience. Additionally, the integrated USB connections function similarly to a webcam, allowing customers to connect a computer and use any streaming software, including Skype or Zoom. Customers can stream to the internet via Ethernet or connect a 5G or 4G phone to utilize mobile data for redundancy. Additionally, Web Presenter has a technical monitoring output that includes video, audio meters, trend graphs, and even SDI technical data.

The most popular streaming platforms are supported by Blackmagic Web Presenter. Additionally, the built-in hardware streaming engine has been optimized for professional broadcast-quality live streaming. As a result, customers receive a self-contained solution for live streaming that operates without interruptions. Customers need only to connect the device to the internet. The Web Presenter Utility software simplifies setup by allowing customers to select the streaming platform and update the streaming key.

Blackmagic Web Presenter is a complete solution that includes a high-performance hardware encoder, software for connecting to streaming platforms, and network connectivity. This eliminates the need for customers to purchase an expensive computer or complicated streaming software. Simply connect an SDI video source, such as a live production switcher or a camera, and then use the built-in Ethernet connection to connect to the internet. Alternatively, connect a mobile phone to access mobile data. With presets for popular streaming platforms already included, customers need only to enter a streaming key and press on air. Additionally, customers can connect the USB webcam output to a computer simultaneously, allowing for the use of other video software.

Customers can plug in an Apple or Android phone to connect to the internet via mobile data if they are streaming from a remote location or if they require a backup for the main Ethernet connection. For added convenience, both the front and rear panels feature USB ports for tethering phones. Additionally, it is compatible with both 5G and 4G smartphones. When a phone is connected, Blackmagic Web Presenter will automatically detect it and switch its internet connection to use it. Customers can choose between Ethernet or phone priority, which completely automates phone internet backup.

The Blackmagic Web Presenter comes equipped with two USB ports that act as a simple webcam source. This enables customers to connect to any computer and use any video software. The software is deceived into believing that the web presenter is a standard webcam, when in fact it is a broadcast-quality SDI video source. This ensures compatibility with any video software at a full 1080 HD or even 2160p Ultra HD resolution, depending on the model. Web Presenter integrates with a wide variety of video software applications, including Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Skype, Open Broadcaster, and XSplit Broadcaster.

While traditional broadcast transmitters are critical components of a television station, the streaming server is now just as critical due to the possibility of millions of viewers watching globally. To assist, Blackmagic Web Presenter comes equipped with a robust technical monitoring output. The graphics-based monitoring output includes a video view, audio meters with accurate ballistics, trend graphs for codec data rates and cache fill, plus a summary of the streaming settings and detailed SDI technical information. Additionally, the technical monitoring output supports full 1080 HD and is compatible with SDI and HDMI. This means that customers can monitor multiple units using an SDI router or a simple HDMI TV.

The Blackmagic Web Presenter Utility software enables the management of multiple web presenters and the updating of settings and software from a single location. Simply connect directly to the web presenter's USB port on the front or via Ethernet to enable customers to configure remotely, which is critical when managing multiple remote sites. The familiar menus and controls simplify the process of setting up a live event, allowing customers to get started quickly. Additionally, the LCD menus on the front panel have the same settings and controls. The Blackmagic Web Presenter Utility software is included for free and is compatible with both Mac and Windows operating systems.

Blackmagic Web Presenter includes a 12G-SDI input with support for all HD and Ultra HD formats up to 2160p60. A 12G-SDI loop output is included enabling customers to loop video through more than one web presenter, so customers can stream to multiple services. Blackmagic Web Presenter features Teranex conversion technology on the SDI input for incredibly clean-looking video. Blackmagic Web Presenter takes the incoming HD or Ultra HD input signal and automatically converts it to high quality, low data rate 1080p HD or high-resolution 2160p60 Ultra HD depending on the model, which is then sent to the hardware H.264 encoder for streaming.

Blackmagic Web Presenter includes redundant features to help ensure customers stay online. Customers get dual internet connections, so customers can connect to the internet using the built-in Ethernet or a tethered phone for 5G or 4G mobile data. Plus the internet automatically switches in case of an outage. Or customers can use 2 separate units to stream to both the primary and secondary YouTube servers. With both AC and DC inputs, customers can use a broadcast battery pack for redundant power.
