AJA HELO Recommended Media Recording
AJA HELO supports standard USB and SD card media and encodes content at relatively low bit rates (up to 20 Mbps), the media's instantaneous performance requirements are much higher. This is especially true for the longer file segment durations made possible by the HELO v2.0 software update.
Longer duration files have larger headers, necessitating much higher burst performance at the start of each file. When HELO detects that the media is unable to keep up with the recording speed requirements during recording, a "Media Too Slow" alarm is displayed on the web UI. This may eventually lead to the recording being aborted.
As a result, we recommend that you use media that is relatively higher in performance. Please read the HELO Media Recommendations document for some general suggestions on how to manage media on HELO.
