The JVC GY-HM890U is a ProHD Compact shoulder mount camera that suitable whether for the studio or field-based usage. There are wide ranges of features in this device. In details, this device is equipped with the multi-pin interface that allows various modules to be attached to the unit without external cabling. For having Unrivaled Image Quality, this device offers High-Performance Full-HD 1/3-inch CMOS Sensors, newly-developed 20x Fujinon Auto Focus Zoom Lens with Manual Functions as well as Outstanding sensitivity, LoLux function.
What’s more? this GY-HM890U also comes with Advanced Processing Engine which provides users with the revolutionary FALCONBRID Dual Codec Image Processing Engine Processor for advanced video applications. To have the uninterrupted workflow, there are the Dual SDHC/SDXC Card Slots where gives the ability to have a relay or simultaneous recording. Moreover, there are also the USB 2.0 host connector connectivities through WI-Fi or Broadband 3G/4G USB stick as well as LAN. Controlling this device remotely is also possible with the built-in web interface. Additionally, there is the High-resolution LCOS viewfinder that gives crispy as well as detailed image compared to the most LCD viewfinder. For audio, there are 4-Channels Audio System that consist of two XLR audio inputs that are switchable between microphone (with phantom power support) and line input, and the stereo AUX inputs.
In terms of connectivities, the GY-HM890U has HD/SD-SDI and HDMI Output, HD/SD-SDI Input (Digital Pool feed), Genlock Input and Time Code In/Out and to name a few. With the user-friendly in mind, this product comes also with Interval (time-lapse) Rec which gives users to record single frames at set intervals. Also, this device has the Pre Rec (Retro Cache) Start Mode which allows users to record, up to 10 seconds in cache memory. When it comes to the Supporting Software, there are 2 digital-based interfaces: JVC ProHD Clip Manager and ProHD Log and Transfer Plug-in. The first one works to manage MP4 clips via memory cards from the computer. As for the second work to allow users to drop MP4 files recorded on this device into the clip bin.
