BirdDog 4K QUAD NDI Encoder/Decoder

The BirdDog 4K Quad NDI Encoder/Decoder supports up to UHD 4K/60 video input for distribution on NDI networks in full-bandwidth I-frame compression. The 4K Quand NDI has housed in an aircraft-grade aluminum case and features four 12G-SDI selectable inputs/outputs and an HDMI 2.0 output. Moreover, it has a built-in cross converter that allows an SDI input to be looped out via the HDMI output.

The 4K Quad NDI Encoder/Decoder comes with the BirdDog Comms Lite audio intercom software, which supports up to four BirdDog devices. Comms Lite is Windows compatible and offers features such as Director Push-to-Talk, Mute Camera Operator, Auto Detect NDI Sources, Monitor Camera Audio, and Shortcut to Web Console. For a more complete version of the application, an optional upgrade is available to Comms Pro. The Encoder/Decoder is also compatible with the optional BirdDog Central software, which helps you decode NDI back to SDI or HDMI.

Cross Converter
BirdDog 4K Encoder/Decoder products include a built-in cross converter and of the 12G SDI inputs can be looped out the HDMI 2.0 port and any of the HDMI 2.0 inputs can be looped out the 12G SDI.

PTZ Control
With an optional USB to Ethernet dongle, you can control any PTZ camera that supports NDI®, NDI|HX, or Visca over IP.

Upgrade to Comms Pro (Optional)
The 4K Family includes a free Audio Intercom software, Comms Lite. Comms Lite supports four BirdDog devices and one Director. Comms Pro gives you all the amazing features of Comms Lite plus allows you to create up to five groups, adds additional push to talk buttons for the director, the ability to change groups on the fly, plus more.
