The AJA Ki Pro GO Multi-Channel H.264 Recorder and Player continues to innovate in the Ki Pro family’s intuitive design, flexibility, and high quality with encoding/decoding of H.264 recording and playback in a compact 2RU, half-rack width form factor. Users can easily record up to four channels of HD and SD content from SDI and HDMI sources to standard USB media. Genlock-free recording eliminates the need to synchronize four input sources, while redundant recording provides multiple backups in the field to protect the recorded video. Four 3G-SDI and four HDMI ports ensure a high-quality source with standard cabling compatibility options. Video and audio input matrix channel mapping simplifies switching between physical inputs to the appropriate recording channel within the device’s UI from a mix of source inputs as needed. HDMI and SDI multi-channel monitoring enable Ki Pro GO to display up to four channels of video as a matrix monitoring output on one HDMI and/or SDI monitor. The flexible architecture of Ki Pro GO is designed for live production, sports, corporate events, training, houses of worship, and more.
240 Minute Time Recording Time Limit
Version 1.0 of Ki Pro GO stops recording after a maximum duration of 240 minutes. To start another recording, press the record button to generate a follow on the recording. For longer events, choosing an appropriate break moment in the action to stop the first recording and start a second will ensure the best results. A free future firmware update will automatically create a new clip for longer continuous recording durations.
Back-Up Recording to USB 5 Destination
Version 1.0 of Ki Pro GO offers redundant recording to the USB 5 port on the rear of the unit. For recommended recording media please see https://www.aja.com/support/item/6509.
Ki Pro GO Recording Notes
Version 1.0 of Ki Pro GO supports encoding H.264 as 8-bit, 4:2:0 files with user selections for low, medium or high. A free future firmware update will enhance recording encoding options for those workflows that require it.
Timecode Support
Version 1.0 does not support timecode input via RP-188 timecode. Ki Pro GO displays the time elapsed during a recording and playback. A free future firmware update will add support for the RP-188 timecode.
File Playback Note
Ki Pro GO file playback is primarily designed to playback self-authored files. If you need to playback H.264 material generated from third-party software or other devices, please reference Appendix A for specifications and more information. https://www.aja.com/support/item/6515 Test your files on the Ki Pro GO before deploying publicly.
