Magewell Pro Convert SDI TX 1-Channel NDI Encoder

The Magewell Pro Convert SDI TX 1-Channel NDI Encoder is built for turning a professional SDI camera or video source into a reliable NDI stream. It supports SDI video with embedded audio and outputs up to 2048 x 1080 at 60p, making it a practical choice for live production, streaming, studio routing, and field workflows.

Power is flexible. Use the included power adapter, or keep the setup cleaner with PoE through the NDI Ethernet port. The compact, rugged design makes it easy to mount near a camera, inside a rack, or on location. A 1/4"-20 mounting thread adds even more flexibility for camera or rig mounting.

The shared mini-DIN port supports PTZ and tally functions, giving production teams a cleaner way to manage tally lights or NDI-based camera control. A tally light accessory is included, which is a nice touch for live switching environments.

Setup is handled through a browser-based Web UI, where you can name the device, assign the NDI source name, adjust video settings, and manage future firmware updates. The unit also includes an SD card slot, though it is not active at the time of writing.

For SDI reliability, the built-in cable equalizer supports SDI cable runs up to 590 feet, helping maintain signal integrity in real production spaces where the encoder may not be sitting right next to the source.
