Key Features

🎥

1080p60 HDMI USB Capture

Capture common production formats including 1920×1080 at frame rates up to 60fps through the USB interface. The hardware processing pipeline handles scaling and format conversion internally, reducing the amount of video processing required from the host computer.

🖥️

4K60 HDMI Input and Loop-Through

HDMI input and loop-through support up to 4096×2160 60fps 4:2:0, while 4:4:4 and 4:2:2 formats are supported up to 4096×2160 30fps. High-resolution sources can remain available to a local display while being scaled for USB capture.

⚡

720p120 High-Frame-Rate Capture

Capture 1280×720 video at rates up to 120fps when host bandwidth and system conditions allow. High-frame-rate operation is useful for gaming, motion-intensive content, analysis, and specialized production workflows.

🎛️

Hardware Video Processing

The integrated processing pipeline supports cropping, up and down scaling, deinterlacing, aspect-ratio conversion, color-format conversion, frame-rate conversion, flipping, and mirroring before video reaches the capture application.

🎙️

Microphone Input and Headphone Monitoring

A 3.5 mm microphone interface allows analog audio to be brought into the capture workflow. The headphone connection can monitor audio from the HDMI source or play audio from the host computer, adding useful audio flexibility for live production.

💻

Broad Software and OS Compatibility

The device supports Windows, Linux, macOS, and Chrome OS environments. Magewell lists OBS Studio, Zoom Rooms, Microsoft Teams, VLC, XSplit, QuickTime Player, and other compatible capture, conferencing, recording, and streaming applications.
