The Netgear 16x1G/10G Fiber SFP+ Managed Switch was designed from the ground up for the expanding AV over IP market, integrating years of AV networking knowledge with the M4300 and M4500 series, as well as best practices from industry experts. AV codecs typically utilize 1Gbps or 10Gbps per stream, and the M4250's AV Line is optimized for 1Gbps codecs. In AV racks, PoE+, Ultra90 PoE++, and rear-facing ports provide a clean integration. Standard audio and video signals are pre-configured on M4250 switches. When more precise needs are needed, an AV user interface with port-based profiles might be used. For audio Dante, there are Q-SYS and AES67 profiles, as well as an AVB profile that requires an AVB license, which is offered separately. The M4250 supports NVX, AMX, Q-SYS, NDI, Dante, and other video formats, as well as audio/video/control mixed profiles. When using several switches, NETGEAR IGMP PlusTM automates the process by simply connecting them together, or with M4300 and M4500 switches.
