The BirdDog MAX X1 X1 Ultra Remote Controller is a handheld IR remote designed for use with BirdDog X1 and X1 Ultra PTZ cameras. It is for local control when you are near the camera and need to make quick changes without opening software or connecting to a network.

IR is line of sight. If the camera can see the remote, it will respond. That is why this remote is most useful during setup, alignment, and pre-event checks. You can adjust zoom, focus, iris, and navigate the on-camera menu, then confirm the result on a monitor and keep moving.

This is not a replacement for network control or PTZ panels. It is a simple tool for fast, close-range adjustments.

If you have multiple cameras in the same room, IR can trigger more than one camera. Use the camera RC channel setting (1 to 4) in the on-screen menu and match it on the remote to control the intended camera.
