Product Overview
RGBlink MSP 315-4 HDMI 1.4 to HDBaseT Extender Set is a straightforward point-to-point extender kit for jobs where you need to move HDMI farther than a normal short copper run will comfortably allow. It gives you a dedicated transmitter and receiver, carries the signal over HDBaseT on RJ45, and adds RS232 plus IR pass-through so the control side of the system can travel with the video instead of becoming a separate headache.
Highlights
- HDMI to HDBaseT extension set with dedicated TX and RX units for cleaner long-run signal transport
- HDMI 1.4 to HDBaseT 1.0 workflow using 1x HDMI Type-A and 1x RJ45 on each side where it matters
- Control-friendly design with RS232 and IR in/out on both TX and RX
- Supports resolutions up to 3840 × 2160@30 as listed in the spec table
- Rated PoE distance up to 125 m for longer installed runs

Why It Helps
This kind of extender is useful when the source and display cannot live in the same place. Think lectern to projector, rack room to display wall, or control position to remote monitor. Instead of fighting HDMI cable length limits directly, you hand the run off to HDBaseT, keep the endpoint simple, and still retain RS232 and IR paths for device control.
System Characteristics
- RS232 on both ends is a practical win in installed systems where display or source control still matters after the video is extended
- IR in/out on TX and RX gives the set more flexibility for remote-control style workflows
- 3840 × 2160@30 support makes sense for HDMI 1.4-era 4K distribution where the priority is stable transport rather than 4K60
- 125 m PoE spec points this more toward longer fixed runs than desktop patching
- Compact housings make the units easier to hide behind displays, under desks, or inside small AV enclosures
