Osprey 12GSFE 12G SDI Fiber Extender Kit

Osprey 12GSFE is a professional 12G-SDI fiber extender kit designed to move uncompressed 4K60 video over long distances without signal loss or added latency. It converts SDI to single-mode LC fiber using SFP optics, making it a practical solution when copper runs are no longer reliable.

The kit includes a transmitter and receiver pair capable of carrying full-bandwidth 12G-SDI up to 10 km. Dual reclocking on the receive side helps stabilize the signal before it reaches switchers, routers, or recorders, which is critical in real broadcast chains.

Both units are powered via 5V USB, simplifying installs in racks, behind displays, or in field deployments. Embedded audio is preserved with support for up to 32 channels, and full SMPTE compliance ensures predictable behavior in mixed SDI environments.
