AJA OG-3G-AMD openGear 3G-SDI 8-Channel 24-Bit AES Embedder/Disembedder Card is a 3G-SDI audio monitoring and de-embedding card designed for openGear frames. It provides a fixed, rack-based point to monitor and extract embedded SDI audio from SD and HD (up to 3G-SDI) video signals without altering the video path.

In practical systems, OG-3G-AMD is used where engineers need to verify what audio is actually embedded in an SDI signal before it reaches air, distribution, or recording. It allows embedded audio to be monitored via meters and analog outputs, instead of relying on assumptions made downstream by switchers, multiviewers, or encoders.
