Matrox ConvertIP DSH

Matrox ConvertIP DSH is a compact HDMI-to-IP transmitter and receiver designed for ST 2110 and IPMX installations. The same appliance can sit on either side of the signal path, taking HDMI into the network in transmit mode or converting an incoming IP stream back to HDMI at the destination.

Two SFP28 cages carry the media side at 10 or 25 GbE, while a separate RJ45 interface handles management and PoE+. The unit supports uncompressed ST 2110 transport, the included Colibri codec, and an optional JPEG XS license when a compressed ST 2110-22 workflow is required.

Why It Helps

ConvertIP DSH is useful when HDMI equipment needs to move into a professional IP media environment without adding separate transmitter and receiver models. The same hardware can be placed at either end of the connection, which simplifies spares and makes system design a little easier.

The media and management paths are kept separate. The two SFP28 cages handle high-bandwidth ST 2110 traffic, while the dedicated RJ45 interface is available for control and PoE+. ST 2022-7 support also gives engineers a redundant network option when the application needs a more resilient signal path.
