Magewell Pro Convert NDI to HDMI Module

Magewell Pro Convert NDI to HDMI Module is a hot-swappable video converter module built for the Magewell Modator 2 RU chassis. It takes high-bandwidth NDI and other supported IP video streams from Gigabit Ethernet and converts them to HDMI, with output support up to 4096 × 2160 at 60 fps.

The module handles NDI High Bandwidth, NDI HX, NDI HX2, NDI HX3, RTSP, HTTP, HLS, RTMP, MPEG-TS over UDP, SRT, RTP, and TVU protocols. A USB-C port is available for configuration, USB-A 3.0 can be used with peripherals, and the built-in Modator interface lets the module work directly inside the chassis.

Why It Helps

In an IP-based production system, getting an NDI source onto a conventional HDMI monitor should not require a separate desktop converter for every display. This module puts that conversion directly into the Modator chassis, so multiple feeds can be handled from the same rack-mounted platform.

The output side is flexible enough for both HD and UHD monitoring. The module follows the EDID of the connected display and can deliver formats from SD through 4K, while integrated upscaling lets lower-resolution sources be presented at the preferred HDMI output format.

Configuration can stay centralized as well. Operators can use the web interface or Magewell Control Hub to check decoded signals, adjust output resolution, deinterlacing, OSD, audio gain, sample rate, channel mapping, network settings, and firmware without needing direct access to the module itself.
