Magewell Pro Convert NDI to HDMI Module is a hot-swappable IP video decoder for Magewell Modator systems that converts NDI and supported streaming sources into HDMI. It decodes network streams up to 2Kp60 and provides HDMI 2.0 output up to 4096 × 2160 at 60fps through integrated scaling. NDI High Bandwidth, NDI HX, HX2, HX3, SRT, H.264, and H.265 support make it suitable for broadcast monitoring, live production, AV-over-IP, control rooms, and high-density rack installations.
2Kp60 NDI and IP Video Decoding
Decode compatible network video streams at resolutions up to 2Kp60. SpeedHQ, H.264, and H.265 decoding supports professional NDI, streaming, contribution, monitoring, and AV-over-IP workflows without requiring software decoding on a separate host.
NDI High Bandwidth HX2 and HX3
NDI High Bandwidth, NDI HX, NDI HX2, and NDI HX3 are supported for integration with current and earlier NDI environments. Magewell specifies NDI 6.3 support for the module, making it suitable for modern network-based production systems.
4K60 HDMI 2.0 Video Output
HDMI 2.0 output supports formats up to 4096 × 2160 at 60fps with 4:4:4 8-bit output. Integrated up-conversion allows an HD decoded source to be scaled for a 4K display, while EDID-based optimization automatically selects an appropriate output format.
Hot-Swappable Modator Chassis Module
The decoder installs directly into a Magewell Modator 2U chassis. Hot-swappable architecture simplifies deployment and servicing while allowing multiple conversion channels to share a centralized rack platform instead of using individual standalone decoder units.
SRT and Multi-Protocol IP Decoding
Decode RTSP, HTTP, HLS, RTMP Pull and Push, MPEG-TS over UDP, SRT, and RTP, plus TVU sources. This protocol coverage allows the module to handle network feeds from live production, contribution, distribution, and managed streaming systems.
Control Hub Web UI and HTTP API
Configure and monitor the module through the Modator chassis, Web UI, or Magewell Control Hub. HTTP APIs support custom integration with third-party control environments, while real-time device and decoded-signal information assists engineering teams with centralized system management.
Gigabit Ethernet HDMI 2.0 and Modator Interface
