Magewell Pro Convert NDI to AIO Module

Magewell Pro Convert NDI to AIO Module is a hot-swappable video converter module designed for the Magewell Modator 2 RU chassis. It decodes high-bandwidth NDI and other supported IP video streams and sends them out through both HDMI and SDI, giving engineers a practical bridge between network video and conventional baseband monitoring or distribution.

The module handles NDI High Bandwidth, NDI HX, NDI HX2, NDI HX3, RTSP, HTTP, HLS, RTMP, MPEG-TS over UDP, SRT, RTP, and TVU protocols. HDMI and SDI can be decoded and output at the same time, while USB-C handles configuration and the built-in Modator interface connects the module directly to the rack chassis.

Why It Helps

In an IP production rack, this module gives engineers a direct way to turn an NDI feed into standard HDMI and SDI outputs without adding another standalone converter outside the chassis. That keeps the signal path cleaner and makes better use of the Modator system already in the rack.

The simultaneous HDMI and SDI outputs are useful when the same decoded source needs to feed more than one destination. An HDMI display can be used for local monitoring while SDI continues on to a router, monitor, recorder, or other broadcast equipment.

Management can stay centralized as well. Through the Web UI or Magewell Control Hub, operators can check decoded signals and adjust OSD, deinterlacing, resolution, audio gain, sample rate, channel mapping, network settings, and firmware without pulling the module from the chassis.
