Magewell Pro Convert IP to USB converts NDI, SRT, H.264, H.265, and other supported IP video streams into standard USB video and audio for conferencing, streaming, recording, and production software. Hardware-based decoding keeps network-stream processing off the host computer while providing UVC video at resolutions up to 1920 × 1080p60 through USB Type-C.
Bring NDI and IP Video Directly into USB Software
Magewell Pro Convert IP to USB turns a compatible network video source into a conventional USB video and audio device. It accepts NDI High Bandwidth, NDI HX2, NDI HX3, and supported streaming sources before delivering the decoded signal through USB Type-C.
Applications that normally expect a webcam can receive the IP source without requiring a separate software-based decoder. This makes the device practical for conference rooms, production studios, corporate AV, and managed streaming environments.
Hardware-Decoded 1080p60 UVC Video
Network decoding is handled inside the converter instead of relying on the host computer's CPU or GPU. The computer receives a ready-to-use USB video source rather than processing the incoming IP stream itself.
Uncompressed UVC video supports resolutions up to 1920 × 1080p60 using YUY2 or NV12. MJPEG output is available up to 1920 × 1080p30, giving compatible software a choice of capture formats based on the host system and application.
Centralized Control Hub and API Management
Magewell Control Hub provides centralized management for integrators and IT administrators responsible for multiple Pro Convert devices. Remote access helps simplify configuration, status monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting across distributed rooms or production locations.
HTTP APIs provide additional integration options for custom applications and third-party control systems. A browser-based interface is also available for direct configuration and device management.
USB-C and Gigabit Ethernet Connectivity
Gigabit Ethernet connects the converter to the IP video network, while USB Type-C carries decoded video and audio to the host computer. The USB 3.0 host interface operates at up to 5 Gbps for high-bandwidth UVC capture.
USB also supplies operating power and provides USB networking for configuration. DHCP support simplifies deployment on managed production, corporate AV, education, and conferencing networks.
