Product Overview
Magewell Pro Convert IP to HDMI is a compact IP video decoder for converting NDI, SRT, H.264, H.265, and other network streams into an HDMI signal. It supports single-screen decoding up to 2560 × 1440p60, two-source Picture-in-Picture, four-source Quad Screen, HDR PQ and HLG, Gigabit Ethernet, PoE+, and remote management for broadcast, live production, monitoring, and AV-over-IP workflows.
QHD HDMI Decoder Output and Local Control
The QHD HDMI decoder delivers video through an HDMI 2.0 output at resolutions up to 2560 × 1440p60. Output formatting can follow the capabilities of the connected monitor, while BT.601, BT.709, BT.2020, HDR PQ, and HLG are supported for compatible workflows. Onboard controls provide direct access to device settings without requiring a separate computer.
PoE+ Gigabit Ethernet and USB Connectivity
The IP decoder connects through 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet and supports IEEE 802.3af PoE and 802.3at PoE+ for network-based installation. USB Type-C provides power and USB NET connectivity, while the USB Type-A port supports a keyboard and mouse for local configuration. This flexible interface set fits fixed installations, mobile production systems, and control rooms.
QHD 1440p60 Single-Screen Decoding
QHD 1440p60 decoding supports one network video source at up to 2560 × 1440p60. Supported formats include H.264, H.265, SpeedHQ, and MPEG2. The decoded source can be sent directly to an HDMI display for confidence monitoring, presentation, or program viewing.
NDI HX3 and SRT IP Decoding
NDI HX3 and SRT decoding provides compatibility with modern IP production and contribution workflows. Single-screen mode supports NDI High Bandwidth, NDI HX2, NDI HX3, MPEG-TS over RTP, UDP, SRT and RIST, plus RTMP, RTSP, HTTP, HLS, and ZIXI. NDI 6.3 is supported.
Two-Stream Picture-in-Picture Decoding
Picture-in-Picture decoding combines two supported IP sources at resolutions up to 1920 × 1080p60. H.264, H.265, SpeedHQ, and MPEG2 formats are supported in this mode. Only one NDI High Bandwidth or one MPEG2 channel can be decoded within the Picture-in-Picture configuration.
Four-Stream Quad Screen Decoding
Quad Screen decoding displays up to four H.264 or H.265 network streams simultaneously. Supported protocols include NDI HX2, NDI HX3, SRT, RIST, RTMP, RTSP, HTTP, HLS, and ZIXI. Sources can reach up to 1920 × 1080p60 for multiview monitoring in production and control-room environments.

What does Magewell Pro Convert IP to HDMI do?

What is the maximum QHD decoding resolution?
Single-screen decoding supports resolutions up to 2560 × 1440p60. The maximum HDMI output is also 2560 × 1440 at 60 fps with 4:4:4 10-bit output.
Which NDI formats does the HDMI decoder support?
Single-screen operation supports NDI High Bandwidth, NDI HX2, and NDI HX3. The current manufacturer specification also lists support for NDI 6.3.
Can the SRT decoder output video over HDMI?
Yes. MPEG-TS over SRT can be decoded and displayed through the HDMI output. RIST, RTP, UDP, RTMP, RTSP, HTTP, HLS, and ZIXI are also supported.
Can the decoder display multiple IP streams?
Yes. Picture-in-Picture mode supports two decoded sources, while Quad Screen supports up to four H.264 or H.265 streams. Single-screen mode is available for full-screen QHD output.
Does the HDMI decoder support HDR?
Yes. Current Magewell specifications list support for HDR PQ and HLG. BT.601, BT.709, and BT.2020 color spaces are also supported.
Can the Magewell decoder use PoE?
Yes. The Gigabit Ethernet connection supports both IEEE 802.3af PoE and IEEE 802.3at PoE+. Power can also be supplied through the USB Type-C interface.
