Product Overview
Magewell Pro Capture SDI is a one-channel PCIe capture card for SD, HD, 3G, and 2K SDI workflows. It captures professional SDI video with embedded audio while providing a dedicated SDI loop-through output for monitoring or downstream equipment. Full 10-bit processing, multi-stream capture, long-distance SDI equalization, and ultra-low-latency operation make it suitable for broadcast, streaming, recording, ingest, and professional video integration.
SD HD 3G and 2K SDI Capture
Capture SD-SDI, HD-SDI, and 3G-SDI signals through a dedicated BNC input with support for professional video formats up to 2048 × 1080. Supported 3G modes include Level A, Level B, dual-link mapping, and dual-stream configurations for flexible broadcast and production workflows.
Dedicated SDI Loop-Through Output
A second BNC connector provides SDI loop-through for sending the incoming signal to a local monitor, router, recorder, waveform display, or other downstream SDI device while the same source is captured by the workstation.
Full 10-Bit Hardware Video Processing
Two onboard processing pipelines provide approximately 180 Mpixels/s of processing bandwidth each. Hardware functions include cropping, scaling, deinterlacing, aspect-ratio conversion, color-space conversion, frame-rate conversion, color adjustment, and OSD composition.
Long-Distance SDI Cable Equalization
Integrated SDI equalization supports cable runs up to approximately 330 meters for SD-SDI, 190 meters for HD-SDI, and 150 meters for 3G-SDI. This helps the card integrate into control rooms, studios, venues, and other installations with longer professional SDI cable paths.
Ultra-Low-Latency Capture Pipeline
Ultra-low-latency capture is specified at 64 video lines, helping reduce delay between the incoming SDI signal and the capture application. This is valuable for interactive production, monitoring, visualization, and custom real-time processing systems.
Multiple Independent Capture Streams
Multiple capture streams can be generated from the single SDI input with independent processing settings. Resolution, frame rate, cropping, aspect ratio, deinterlacing, color format, and color adjustments can be configured separately for individual applications.
SDI Input Loop-Through and PCIe Gen2 x1
Two BNC connectors provide dedicated SDI input and loop-through connectivity. The input accepts SD, HD, 3G, and supported 2K formats with embedded audio, while the loop output passes the incoming SDI signal to downstream equipment.
