The Magewell Pro Capture SDI 4K Plus is a one-channel 12G-SDI PCIe capture card for professional 4K video ingest. It captures one SDI signal using single-link 12G-SDI, dual-link 6G-SDI, or quad-link 3G-SDI connections at input resolutions up to 4096×2160. PCIe Gen2 x4 connectivity, 10-bit hardware processing, multiple capture streams, and ultra-low-latency operation make it suitable for broadcast, live production, streaming, recording, and professional AV workflows.
Single-Link 12G-SDI 4K Capture
A single 12G-SDI connection can carry the complete high-bandwidth video signal into the capture workstation. The card supports SD, HD, 3G, 6G, and 12G-SDI standards with input resolutions up to 4096×2160. This simplifies professional 4K signal ingest where a single-cable SDI workflow is preferred.
Dual-Link 6G and Quad-Link 3G Support
The card also accepts one 4K source through dual-link 6G-SDI or quad-link 3G-SDI connections. Input link configuration is detected automatically. This allows integration with professional equipment using different SDI transport methods while maintaining one capture channel.
Capture up to 4096×2160
Both input and capture image resolutions are supported up to 4096×2160 pixels. Capture frame rates can reach up to 144fps depending on image resolution and available PCIe bandwidth. The card supports both 2K and 4K SDI workflows.
Full 10-Bit Hardware Processing
Two hardware processing pipelines provide approximately 720 Mpixels/s of processing bandwidth each. Full 10-bit processing supports cropping, scaling, deinterlacing, color conversion, aspect-ratio conversion, frame-rate conversion, and OSD composition.
Ultra-Low-Latency PCIe Capture
Magewell specifies an ultra-low-latency mode of 64 video lines. Partial-notification functionality is available through the Magewell Capture SDK. PCIe Gen2 x4 provides a direct high-bandwidth path between the capture card and host workstation.
Multiple Independent Capture Streams
Unlimited capture streams can be generated from the active input channel. Each stream can use independent cropping, aspect ratio, color format, resolution, frame rate, deinterlacing, color adjustment, and OSD settings. This allows one SDI source to serve multiple software workflows.

OBS vMix and Wirecast Compatibility
