Magewell Pro Capture Mini HDMI with Large Heat Sink is a compact one-channel Mini PCIe capture card for embedded and purpose-built professional video systems. It captures HDMI 1.4a video with embedded audio through the supplied SHD-to-HDMI breakout, while onboard 10-bit processing handles scaling, deinterlacing, color conversion, frame-rate conversion, and multi-stream capture. SKU 111100001 uses Magewell's Large Heat Sink configuration while retaining the Pro Capture Mini HDMI capture platform.
Compact Mini PCIe Form Factor
Measuring only 30 × 51 mm, the Mini PCIe board is designed for compact computers, embedded systems, video appliances, and custom hardware where a conventional full-size PCIe capture card is not practical.
Large Heat Sink Configuration
SKU 111100001 is supplied as the Large Heat Sink version of Pro Capture Mini HDMI. Magewell offers three heat-sink configurations for this capture-card family, allowing system designers to select the physical configuration appropriate for their installation.
HDMI 1.4a Video Capture
HDMI 1.4a and compatible DVI 1.0 sources are supported with input resolutions up to 2048 × 2160. A JST SHD 20-pin connection carries the source signal to the card, with a supplied breakout providing standard HDMI Type-A connectivity.
Embedded HDMI Audio Capture
Embedded digital audio is captured alongside the HDMI video signal. Magewell SDK support provides access to compatible IEC60958 and IEC61937 audio with up to eight channels for recording, streaming, and custom applications.
Full 10-Bit Hardware Video Processing
Onboard hardware provides full 10-bit processing with cropping, scaling, deinterlacing, aspect-ratio conversion, color-space conversion, frame-rate conversion, color adjustment, and OSD composition.
Ultra-Low-Latency Multi-Stream Capture
Ultra-low-latency operation is specified at 64 video lines. Multiple capture streams can also be generated from the single input with independent resolution, frame rate, cropping, aspect ratio, deinterlacing, color format, and color-adjustment settings.
JST SHD Input and Mini PCIe Gen2 x1
A JST SHD 20-pin connector carries HDMI video and embedded audio to the capture card. The supplied SHD-to-HDMI Type-A breakout provides compatibility with standard HDMI cameras, computers, switchers, and other source equipment.
The host interface uses Mini PCIe Gen2 x1, allowing the capture engine to be integrated directly into compact embedded computers and purpose-built professional video systems.
