Product Overview
The Magewell Pro Capture Hexa CVBS is a six-channel SD PCIe capture card designed for simultaneous composite video and analog audio ingest. A single DB25 connection provides six CVBS video inputs plus six stereo analog audio input pairs through the included breakout cable. NTSC, PAL, and SECAM support, hardware video processing, and independent multi-stream capture make it well suited to broadcast, archiving, surveillance, AV integration, and legacy analog video workflows.
Six Independent Composite Video Inputs
The card captures up to six CVBS video sources through a single DB25 interface. Each channel can operate as an independent analog capture source. This provides a compact way to consolidate multiple legacy composite feeds inside one PCIe workstation.
Six Stereo Analog Audio Inputs
The DB25 breakout provides analog left and right audio for each of the six channels. Video and audio can therefore be captured together from compatible analog sources. Hardware timestamps help maintain synchronization between corresponding audio and video frames.
NTSC PAL and SECAM Support
Pro Capture Hexa CVBS supports NTSC, PAL, and SECAM composite video standards. The card automatically detects the incoming video standard. This makes it suitable for mixed regional and legacy analog-video environments.
Hardware Video Processing
Two video-processing pipelines provide approximately 180 Mpixels/s of processing bandwidth each. Hardware functions include cropping, scaling, deinterlacing, aspect-ratio conversion, color conversion, frame-rate conversion, and OSD composition.
Ultra-Low-Latency Capture
Magewell specifies an ultra-low-latency mode of 64 video lines. Partial-notification functionality is available through the Magewell Capture SDK. This supports responsive monitoring, processing, and specialized capture applications.
Multiple Independent Capture Streams
Unlimited capture streams can be created for any individual input channel. Each stream can use independent cropping, aspect ratio, color format, resolution, frame rate, deinterlacing, and color-adjustment settings. One analog source can therefore serve multiple software workflows.
