Product Overview
Magewell Pro Capture AIO is a one-channel HD PCIe capture card designed to bring a wide range of digital and analog video sources into professional production, streaming, recording, and integration systems. It supports SD/HD/3G-SDI, HDMI, DVI, VGA, Component, Composite, and S-Video sources with embedded or analog audio. Hardware-based scaling, deinterlacing, color conversion, multi-stream capture, and ultra-low-latency operation provide flexible signal handling in a single PCIe card.
All-In-One Multi-Format Video Input
Capture one source from a broad selection of professional and legacy formats. Supported inputs include SDI, HDMI, DVI, VGA, Component, Composite, and S-Video, reducing the need for separate capture cards when working with mixed video equipment.
SDI and HDMI HD Capture
The BNC input supports SD-SDI, HD-SDI, and 3G-SDI signals, including 2K modes and embedded audio. HDMI 1.4a sources connect through the supplied breakout cable with support for RGB and YCbCr video plus embedded digital audio.
Full 10-Bit Hardware Video Processing
Two onboard video-processing pipelines provide approximately 180 Mpixels/s of processing bandwidth each. Hardware functions include scaling, cropping, deinterlacing, aspect-ratio conversion, color-space conversion, frame-rate conversion, color adjustment, timestamping, and OSD composition.
Ultra-Low-Latency Capture Pipeline
Ultra-low-latency operation is specified at 64 video lines, helping reduce delay between the incoming source and capture application. Partial-notification support through the Magewell Capture SDK enables optimized workflows for latency-sensitive production and processing systems.
Multiple Independent Capture Streams
Generate multiple capture streams from the single input channel with independent processing parameters. Cropping, resolution, frame rate, color format, aspect ratio, deinterlacing, and color adjustments can be configured separately for individual streams.
Windows Linux and macOS Support
Compatibility with DirectShow, DirectKS, V4L2, ALSA, AVCaptureSession, and AudioUnit supports integration across Windows, Linux, and macOS systems. Common applications include OBS, vMix, VLC, XSplit, Wirecast, VidBlaster, and other compatible capture or streaming software.
SDI DVI-I DB9 and PCIe Connectivity
A dedicated BNC connector accepts SD, HD, and 3G-SDI signals. The DVI-I interface supports DVI directly and expands to HDMI, VGA, and Component through the supplied adapters and breakout connections.
The DB9 connection provides Composite, S-Video, Component, and stereo analog audio connectivity through the included breakout cable. The card connects to the host workstation through a PCIe Gen2 x1 interface.

What video sources can Magewell Pro Capture AIO capture?
The card can capture one SDI, HDMI, DVI, VGA, Component, Composite, or S-Video source at a time. Embedded digital audio and stereo analog audio are supported according to the selected input configuration.
Does Pro Capture AIO support 3G-SDI?
Yes. The BNC input supports SD-SDI, HD-SDI, and 3G-SDI, including supported 2K modes and up to eight embedded audio channels at 48kHz.
Can the card capture HDMI directly?
HDMI 1.4a input is supported through the supplied DVI-I to HDMI breakout connection. The HDMI receiver supports RGB 4:4:4, YCbCr 4:4:4, YCbCr 4:2:2, multiple color depths, embedded audio, and custom EDID.
Does the card support analog video?
Yes. VGA, Component, Composite, and S-Video sources are supported through the appropriate DVI-I, DB9, and supplied breakout connections.
Can one input generate multiple capture streams?
Yes. Multiple capture streams can be generated from the single input channel, with independent settings for resolution, frame rate, cropping, deinterlacing, aspect ratio, color format, and color adjustment.
Which operating systems and applications are supported?

Is the optional Mini Repeater 4K HDMI included?
No. Magewell lists the Mini Repeater 4K HDMI separately as an optional accessory. The standard package includes the card plus the DVI-to-VGA adapter and two supplied breakout assemblies.
