The Magewell Eco Capture Quad SDI M.2 is a compact four-channel 2K SDI capture card designed for embedded, OEM, and space-constrained professional video systems. Four MMCX inputs capture SD, HD, 3G, and 2K SDI sources with embedded audio, while the M.2 2280 Type M host interface operates over PCIe Gen2 x4. Hardware video processing, SG-DMA, low-latency operation, and replicated capture streams make it well suited to broadcast, streaming, recording, monitoring, and custom integration.
Four-Channel 2K SDI Capture
Four independent SDI inputs support simultaneous capture from four professional video sources. Input and capture resolutions are supported up to 2048×1080 pixels. The four-channel design consolidates multiple SDI feeds into one compact internal device.
SD HD 3G and 2K SDI Support
Each MMCX input supports SD-SDI, HD-SDI, 3G-SDI, and 2K SDI sources. Supported standards include 3G Level A and supported Level B formats. Automatic input-format detection simplifies deployment with professional cameras, routers, switchers, and other SDI equipment.
Compact M.2 2280 Type M Design
The card uses the compact M.2 2280 form factor with a Type M connection. Its host interface operates through PCIe Gen2 x4. This configuration brings four SDI capture channels into embedded, portable, and high-density professional systems.
10-Bit Hardware Video Processing
The onboard processing pipeline provides approximately 180 Mpixels/s of processing bandwidth with 10-bit 4:4:4 video processing. Hardware functions include scaling, deinterlacing, color conversion, and frame-rate conversion for flexible capture workflows.
PCIe SG-DMA and GPU Transfer
SG-DMA supports efficient transfer of captured video over the PCIe interface. Magewell specifies approximately 400 MB/s DMA bandwidth per channel on PCIe 2.x systems. GPU transfer support includes Intel tiled surfaces, AMD DirectGMA, and NVIDIA GPUDirect.
Multiple Replicated Capture Streams
Unlimited replicated capture streams can be created for any one input channel. Replicated streams from that channel use the same capture format. This allows compatible applications to access an SDI source simultaneously for multi-application workflows.
