Description

Product Overview

The TM200 uses a Full HD panel that holds color and contrast well across its surface, even when viewed from an angle—something presenters appreciate when the monitor sits low under a studio teleprompter. The 89-degree viewing spec isn’t just marketing; in practice it means the screen stays readable when the operator shifts position or when talent leans off-center during live segments.

Mounting adjustments are handled through a simple mechanical bracket. It doesn’t rely on specialty hardware, which makes it easier to line up with the teleprompter height and the camera’s working angle. Most studios set it once and leave it alone, but it still supports fine-tuning for variable eyelines or multi-camera setups.

The connectivity on the Fortinge TM200 is what broadcast teams expect—SDI in, SDI loop out, HDMI, and LTC. Nothing exotic. The SDI loop is clean and doesn’t introduce timing drift, so routing the return feed back through a switcher or another confidence monitor is straightforward. The 12V DC input matches most teleprompter and studio power rails, allowing the monitor to drop into existing systems without extra adapters.

At 19.5 inches, the panel hits the right size for most presenters—large enough to check framing and posture at a glance, but not so large that it dominates the space under the glass. The LED backlight holds steady across long shooting days. Fortinge offers 250 cd/m² and 1000 cd/m² brightness versions so system designers can choose based on the room rather than forcing a single-brightness solution.

Some integrators use the TM200 completely separate from a prompter. In those cases, it works well as a compact return-video display for small studios, remote kits, or multicam control stations. The footprint is small, and the I/O is straightforward, which is why it often appears in rack builds or field units where space is tight.

Latency is minimal. Operators often describe the return image as “instant enough” for coaching talent or watching subtle movements on air. Across a full broadcast day, the monitor holds calibration well and doesn’t drift, reducing the need for ongoing adjustments.
