Product Overview
The EtherWAN TG103H-0800 Hardened 8-Port Gigabit PoE++ Industrial Switch provides high-power Ethernet connectivity for surveillance, automation, and remote infrastructure. Its eight Gigabit RJ45 ports each support up to 90W PoE++, with a shared 270W power budget for connected devices. A built-in PoE watchdog helps recover unresponsive equipment without manual intervention. The unmanaged, fanless design supports straightforward DIN-rail installation in protected industrial cabinets.
The EtherWAN TG103H-0800 is a hardened unmanaged industrial Ethernet switch with eight 10/100/1000BASE-T PoE ports and no SFP interfaces. It supports IEEE 802.3af/at/bt, a 90W maximum per port, and a total shared PoE budget of 270W. Features include per-port PoE watchdog controls, IEEE 802.1p QoS, PROFINET and EtherNet/IP prioritization, and 6kV surge protection. Two redundant 46–57V DC inputs are provided; full 90W Type 4 operation requires 54–57V DC from a separately supplied power source. The IP30 fanless metal housing measures 45 × 145 × 125mm (W × H × D), weighs 577g, and operates from -40°C to +75°C.
Eight Gigabit PoE++ Ports with 90W Output
All eight 10/100/1000BASE-T RJ45 ports support IEEE 802.3af, 802.3at, and 802.3bt powered devices. Each port can deliver up to 90W individually, but the combined output must remain within the switch's 270W shared PoE budget.
Copper-Only Plug-and-Play Networking
The TG103H-0800 provides eight Gigabit RJ45 connections without SFP fiber uplinks. Auto-negotiation and auto MDI/MDIX simplify installation where copper Ethernet is sufficient; choose the TG103H-0802 when integrated SFP ports are required.
Selectable PoE Watchdog for Automatic Recovery
The PoE watchdog monitors data activity from connected powered devices and can restart a selected port when its device stops responding. Per-port DIP switches let installers enable recovery on appropriate equipment such as remotely located IP cameras.
Hardened Fanless Housing and Surge Protection
The fanless metal housing supports -40°C to +75°C operation and includes 6kV surge protection for demanding industrial networks. Its IP30 rating is not waterproof, so outdoor sites require a suitably protected equipment enclosure.
Industrial QoS and Reliable Gigabit Forwarding
IEEE 802.1p Quality of Service prioritizes selected traffic, including supported PROFINET and EtherNet/IP communications. Store-and-forward switching, a 1.5Mbit packet buffer, and a 4K MAC address table support everyday industrial network traffic.
Dual DC Inputs and DIN-Rail Mounting
Two 46–57V DC terminal-block inputs support redundant power connections, while the compact housing mounts to a standard 35mm DIN rail. Full 90W IEEE 802.3bt Type 4 operation requires 54–57V DC and a properly sized external power supply.
IP Surveillance Integrators
Power compatible high-demand IP and PTZ cameras through Gigabit PoE++ connections in protected equipment cabinets.
Industrial Automation Teams
Connect supported industrial controllers, sensors, and Ethernet devices using an unmanaged DIN-rail switch.
Transportation Infrastructure
Provide powered copper Ethernet connectivity for field equipment in temperature-controlled or protected roadside enclosures.
Building Security Systems
Network compatible security and access-control devices with centralized PoE power distribution.
Remote Network Installations
Deploy rugged eight-port copper connectivity where fiber uplinks and managed-switch configuration are unnecessary.
Network Maintenance Technicians
Use per-port PoE watchdog controls to help recover selected unresponsive devices without disconnecting their cabling.

What is the EtherWAN TG103H-0800 used for?
The TG103H-0800 is a hardened unmanaged Gigabit PoE++ switch for industrial networking, IP surveillance, and remote equipment installations. It connects and powers up to eight compatible Ethernet devices.
Can all eight ports deliver 90W simultaneously?
No. Each port supports up to 90W individually, but the total output is limited to a shared 270W PoE budget. Size the connected-device load and external power supply accordingly.
Does the TG103H-0800 have SFP fiber ports?
No. This model has eight RJ45 copper ports without SFP slots. The related TG103H-0802 provides eight PoE RJ45 ports plus two 100/1000BASE SFP interfaces.
What power supply is required for full 90W PoE++?
Full IEEE 802.3bt Type 4 output requires 54–57V DC and a supply with sufficient capacity for the powered devices and switch. The external DC power supply is selected separately.
How does the PoE watchdog operate?
The watchdog monitors data activity and can restart a selected PoE port if its connected powered device becomes unresponsive. Installers can enable monitoring for individual ports through DIP switches.
Is the EtherWAN TG103H-0800 a managed switch?
No. The TG103H-0800 is unmanaged and designed for plug-and-play switching. It provides built-in QoS prioritization and PoE watchdog controls but not managed-switch features such as configurable VLANs or SNMP administration.
Can the TG103H-0800 be installed outdoors?
The switch operates from -40°C to +75°C but has an IP30 housing that is not weatherproof. Outdoor installations require a suitable protective enclosure and compatible power infrastructure.
