Pearl 2 Rackmount is designed for production environments where several source types need to live in the same workflow. SDI, HDMI, USB, and RTSP inputs allow engineers to combine cameras, presentation feeds, and network video without relying on a single connection standard.

The encoding architecture supports two simultaneous 1080p60 programs with up to six HD sources, six simultaneous 1080p30 programs with up to six HD sources, or one UHD 4K program at 30 fps using up to two 4K and two HD sources. That gives operators different ways to allocate the available processing depending on the required program resolution and number of outputs.

Recording and media management are also built into the chassis. The 512 GB SSD can automatically remove the oldest recordings as storage is required, while three USB 3.0 ports support automatic or manual copying to local USB drives. FTP server and client capabilities provide another route for moving recorded files through a network workflow.
