No banking. No layering. Just the mix.

The Fairlight Live Audio Panel 40 is the top of the Fairlight Live panel family — and the surface built for engineers who cannot afford to bank, layer, or lose their place during a live broadcast. Forty full-travel motorized faders. Four independent 11.6-inch 1920x1080 touchscreens. Every critical routing control on the surface — layers, bus, matrix, aux, VCA, sub-masters, talkback, snapshots, cue player, on-air lock — all hardware, always reachable.

At this scale, the four touchscreens keep every bank of 10 channels confirmed simultaneously. You are never flying blind. All 40 faders move on snapshot recall — when you transition from pre-game to commentary to halftime, the surface follows instantly. No manual resets, no scrambling.

Dual 10G RJ45 Ethernet for SMPTE-2110 IP connectivity. Dual IEC C14 mains inputs with two internal 100–240V power supplies for full redundancy. This panel is built to run all day, every day, in the world's most demanding broadcast environments.

Fairlight Live Audio Panel 40 full surface — 40 motorized faders, four 11.6-inch touchscreen displays and complete control layout
Built for the largest live productions
40 Motorized faders
40 full-travel flying faders with multi-function rotary knobs and ring LED indicators. All 40 respond simultaneously to snapshot recalls — a full show reset in one keystroke, no banking required.
Four 11.6" 1080p touchscreens
Four independent 1920x1080 LCD touchscreens — one per 10-fader bank. Channel strip info, EQ, dynamics, plug-in interfaces and metering visible across all 40 channels simultaneously. No guesswork at any point.
SMPTE-2110 IP ready
Dual 10G RJ45 Ethernet for full 2110 IP video and audio network integration, plus a dedicated 1G RJ45 control port. Direct connection to modern broadcast IP infrastructure — no additional hardware needed.
Complete control surface
All keypads on the surface: layers, bus, matrix, aux, VCA, sub-masters, snapshots, cue player, player/recorder, control room monitoring, masters, globals, and talkback. Everything dedicated — nothing in software menus.
Talkback with built-in mic
Integrated talkback mic, 4 groups, direct-to-channel and ALL modes. 5-pin XLR headset in/out, 3-pin XLR mic, dual 6.35mm headphone jacks, dual 3-pin XLR monitor outputs — full talkback infrastructure on the panel itself.
Dual redundant power
Two IEC C14 inputs with two independent 100–240V AC internal power supplies. One supply fails — the other takes over without interruption. For major live broadcasts, this is not optional. It is the right way to build a production system.
What 40 faders actually change

On a major sports broadcast — NBA, NFL, Olympics — the audio signal list is enormous. Play-by-play commentary, color commentary, sideline reporters, crowd mics, broadcast music, graphics stingers, sponsor audio, IFB returns for every on-air talent, mix-minus feeds for remote guests, international program buses. That is not a 10- or 20-fader show.

With 40 faders, a complex show fits on the surface in a single view. Four touchscreens confirm every channel in every bank at the same time. When the halftime whistle blows and you fire the halftime snapshot, all 40 faders jump to position simultaneously. The transition is clean. You are already listening to the next mix before the director has finished the cut.

Paired with Fairlight Live, the Panel 40 gives you access to thousands of channels, SMPTE-2110 IP routing, spatial audio, full redundancy operation, and remote operator support — all from a surface that speaks the same physical language as the traditional broadcast consoles engineers have used for decades. The muscle memory transfers. The capability multiplies.
