Internally, there is hardware support for both RGBA and YUVA frame buffers. With RGBA graphics, video frames automatically transcode RGB pixels to YUV 4:2:2:4 video on both fill and key outputs at full 10-bit precision.

The two SDI outputs connect to a live production switcher where they are keyed over video. The key output ensures smooth blending of transparent elements in the image — making the UltraStudio Mini Monitor 12G ideal for broadcast graphics, lower thirds, and stingers in live production.
