Blackmagic Design Teranex AV is specially designed for live events and professional AV installations, as well as broadcast and post production workflows. It offers 1,089 conversions for all formats up to 2160p60, using patented algorithms to ensure legendary image quality. This device also boasts low latency and includes a still store for adding logos and graphics, a live freeze frame, and the ability to generate a reference signal. With professional 12G-SDI and quad SDI connections, along with consumer HiFi, XLR audio, HDMI in and outputs, and more, Teranex AV is a versatile and reliable choice. Plus, the metal brackets at the rear provide added protection for cables and connections in tight locations.
Blackmagic Teranex AV balanced analog audio connectivity has 2 channels in HiFi connection and 4 channels AES/EBU in the XLR connections. For storage, there is a still store type that can capture a video frame in any format and keep it in the memory. Another good thing for the storage side is that there is a built-in resynchronization where it functions for getting a clean switch between the still store and live feeds for all professional users.

The Teranex AV offers 12G‑SDI and HDMI 2.0a inputs, loop through, and outputs, as well as BNC connections for reference. Additionally, it includes 2-channel consumer HiFi and XLR connectors, providing 4 channels of AES/EBU or 2 channels of balanced analog audio. This makes it the ideal choice for presenters using lavalier mics or laptop audio, as the audio can be embedded with the video on any output. Moreover, an optical fiber cage is included for the option to add modules and transmit video and audio over long distances. Alternatively, the Teranex Express, featuring all 12G‑SDI connections, is available for those who only require SDI.
Teranex AV allows aspect ratio, cross and standards conversions in real-time video processing, and more Teranex has HDMI input and 12G-SDI input connections; this Teranex AV also has the quad-link 3G-SDI output, thereby giving users wide possibilities to work with a broad range of older Ultra HD monitors as well as projectors which only work in quad-link SDI 1080 HD inputs. In fact, it can also split the signal and output into 4 wide big screens for tiled video walls. In other words, users can have multi-screen outdoor displays and digital signs.
