When attached to UHD sources, the HDMI output identifies an HDTV or HD monitor, the output is spontaneously down-converted from UHD to HD. A redundant SDI input is presented as an arbitrary back up, and an SDI loop-through output is possible for sending the SDI signal to a supplementary device.
