The Blackmagic Design ATEM Constellation 8K is the most advanced Ultra HD and native 8K live production switcher on the market. It features 40 independent 12G-SDI inputs, each with its own format converter. This means you can mix sources in HD, Ultra HD, and 8K — all at the same time — without needing external converters.

With its 4 M/E architecture, the ATEM Constellation 8K gives you a powerful set of tools. These include 4 DVEs, 2 SuperSource engines, and 16 advanced chroma keyers. You also get 4 media players, a 156-channel Fairlight audio mixer, and 4 Ultra HD multiview outputs. In 8K mode, all resources scale natively — including 10 Quad Link 12G-SDI 8K inputs, full 8K multiview, and 4 8K chroma keyers.

The ATEM Constellation 8K is ideal for concerts, sports, and multi-camera live productions. Its 24 independently routable 12G-SDI aux outputs let you send different program feeds to displays, recorders, or live streamers. You can output any source to any output — perfect for IMAG screens, clean feeds, or external monitoring.

This ATEM Constellation also features 4 multiview outputs that can be customized to show 4, 7, 10, 13, or 16 windows. In 8K mode, they combine into a single full-resolution 8K multiview. Each view includes tally indicators, custom labels, and audio meters.

Audio is equally powerful. The Fairlight audio mixer inside the ATEM Constellation 8K handles up to 156 input channels — including SDI embedded audio, MADI, analog, and talkback mics. You get full 6-band EQ, limiter, expander, noise gate, and compressor on every input. Mix audio live or hand it off to an external engineer using 2 MADI outputs for the first 30 video inputs.

For control, the switcher includes a front panel with LCD display, 42 backlit buttons, and full menu navigation. You can switch sources, control transitions, adjust settings, and trigger macros directly from the front. It also includes RJ45 talkback ports, RS-422 remote, and full software control over Ethernet or USB.

Even with all this power, the ATEM Constellation 8K fits in a compact 2RU rack-mount chassis. Its quiet cooling system includes 3 low-speed fans and high-efficiency thermal design, making it ideal for OB trucks and mobile production units.

You can build incredible layered effects with 4 full-resolution 8K DVEs, 3D borders, and motion transitions. The ATEM also supports custom stinger transitions, DVE wipes, and graphics overlays using internal media players. Create professional effects on the fly — perfect for fast-paced productions.

For virtual sets, green screen work, or weather graphics, the 16 advanced chroma keyers deliver clean, professional results. Each includes color sampling, edge correction, spill suppression, and foreground color matching.
