AJA BRIDGE LIVE IP is a high-density SMPTE ST 2110 gateway for bidirectional encoding, decoding, transcoding, remote production, contribution, and direct-to-audience streaming. It converts uncompressed ST 2110 video into practical delivery formats including H.264, H.265, H.262, SRT, HLS, RTP, RTMP/S, and MPEG-TS, while optional licenses extend the platform to NDI, JPEG XS, and JPEG 2000. Dual 10/25GigE SFP28 media interfaces, NMOS control, ST 2022-7 redundancy, and dual power supplies make it suited to broadcast facilities and live production systems where channel density and uptime matter. One system can bridge the plant, the public internet, and downstream delivery without adding separate encode and decode appliances.

High-Density ST 2110 Gateway
The ST 2110 gateway handles up to four UHDp60 or sixteen HD receive and transmit channels, subject to format and application requirements. Video uses 10-bit YCbCr 4:2:2 sampling for ST 2110-20. This density suits centralized IP production and facility conversion where multiple signals need to share one 1RU platform.
H.264 and H.265 IP Transcoding
IP transcoding converts ST 2110 into H.264 AVC, H.265 HEVC, or H.262 MPEG-2 for distribution and contribution. H.264 and H.265 can scale to four simultaneous 60p UHD or sixteen 60p HD encode/decode paths to or from ST 2110. A single uncompressed source can feed multiple stream formats and destinations.
Synchronous Multi-Channel Transport
Synchronous multi-channel transport preserves timing relationships between independent production feeds as they move between sites or into cloud delivery workflows. That is valuable for REMI productions where camera, program, preview, and return signals must stay aligned. The same architecture can scale across multiple systems for larger source counts.
NMOS and PTP ST 2110 Control
NMOS control supports IS-04 registration and IS-05 connection management in-band and out-of-band. PTP timing uses ST 2059-2 and IEEE 1588-2008 over the media network. REST API, SNMP, browser access, and local control give engineering teams several paths for monitoring and automation.
Optional 10-Bit NDI Conversion
The optional NDI license adds encode, decode, and transcode paths between NDI, compressed IP formats, and ST 2110. The platform supports up to four 60p UHD or eight 60p HD NDI encode/decode channels to or from ST 2110. Manual HDR metadata marking and multiple Discovery Servers support hybrid NDI facilities.

Broadcast metadata support includes ST 2110-40 ancillary data, SMPTE ST 2038, SCTE-35 and SCTE-104 markers, captioning, timecode, and metadata pass-through. Closed Caption and Ancillary Data Transport
Closed caption and ancillary data transport keeps operational metadata intact through complex IP workflows. Supported functions include EIA-608/708 captions, Line 21 captions, SCTE markers, ST 2110-40 ancillary data, and timecode carried in H.264 or HEVC SEI messages. This is useful for broadcast distribution, ad insertion, regulatory captioning, and downstream playout systems.
Secure SRT Contribution with Network Bonding
SRT contribution provides encrypted transport over unpredictable public networks while keeping latency low enough for live workflows. The system supports SRT alongside MPEG-TS and can use SRT Network Bonding for redundant stream paths.
For remote production and sports broadcasting, that gives engineering teams an alternative to dedicated contribution circuits while retaining recovery options when an ISP path becomes unstable.

REMI Backhaul with Synchronous ST 2110
For REMI and sports production, multiple ST 2110 sources can be timestamped, transported, and reconstructed in sync at the receiving facility. Bidirectional operation allows the same appliance type to serve transmit or receive roles.
Eight-Channel HD Transport over Internet
A remote site can package multiple HD production feeds into MPEG-TS over SRT for transport across the public internet. At the destination, those feeds can return to the facility ST 2110 network for routing and production.
