The Panasonic AW-HE42 3G-SDI Professional PTZ Camera (White) is a Full-HD Pan/Tilt/Zoom Camara with an integrated rotating base equipped with a wide range of interfaces including 3G-SDI, HDMI, and IP. The camera is also equipped with an external sync signal input connector as well as BBS (Black Burst Sync) and tri-level sync. The camera enables flexible system construction ready to handle any purpose or environment. The AW-HE42 is perfect for a wide range of environments, from recording and broadcast of lectures, houses of worship, to live streaming at concerts and other events. The AW-HE42 PTZ Camera features a 1080p output, a wide horizontal viewing angle of 65.1 degrees, a 20X optical zoom,30X i.Zoom and is equipped with a 1/2.3" MOS sensor and genlock for camera matching in live production.

PTZ Camera Features
The AW-HE42 camera is designed to produce great results in a variety of applications that require high-quality video and precise control such as conference video, event capture, staging, distance learning, and houses-of-worship. Thanks to their precision 20X optical zoom lenses, wide field of view, smooth PTZ functions, and exceptional image quality, HE42 cameras are ideal for demanding remote production and IMAG use. With IP-Preview transmission and control, and support for PoE+ (which allows power to be supplied via a LAN cable), the HE42 also offers the flexibility needed for easy installation and management.
Four Drive Lens System
The camera is equipped with the Four Drive Lens System, where three zoom lenses and one focus lens are driven independently but simultaneously. Driving each of the four lenses individually enables a reduction in lens size and drive range to achieve a reduced-size body with a zoom of high image quality and magnification. Despite its compact size, the camera boasts optical 20x zoom and high-performance, ultra-high-resolution 30x zoom.
20X Optical Zoom and 30X i.Zoom
In addition to 20x optical zoom, the AW-HE42 features intelligent zoom up to 30x to capture crisp close-ups even in large auditoriums and lecture halls. The HE42 delivers an impressive signal-to-noise ratio, 1000 TV lines of resolution, and 16-axis color matrix control for precise camera “painting” and matching. The HE42 already includes many innovative standard features developed to expand the capabilities of professional video system users. In addition to Panasonic's Dynamic Range Stretch (DRS) and advanced Digital Noise Reduction (DNR), an ingenious High Dynamic Range (HDR) mode helps to produce very good video even in extreme contrast and lighting conditions.

The Camera Video and audio can be recorded in MP4 format on a microSD card (sold separately) inserted into the unit. In addition, using an IP
network, it is possible to externally control recording start/stop and download the recorded.

Full HD Video Output Via IP Transmission
IP transmission, as well as HDMI, SDI and USB output, are supported to enable IP video output of up to 60 frames per second. Multi-streaming output (H.264 streaming) of up to four channels*2 per camera and video transmission to up to 14 terminals are supported*3, enabling a variety of system layouts as needed for the application.
Using an IP browser, the camera can be controlled from a remote location, and IP video monitoring and remote camera control can be performed from a PC, Mac or mobile terminal such as an iPhone, iPad or Android device, enabling easy operations.
AW-HE42 Night Mode
For shooting in virtually total darkness, the HE42's Night Mode makes it possible to automatically switch to the capture of high-quality, HD monochrome video with the use of an (optional) IR illuminator in the 850nm range, making the camera ideal for reality show production, sleep lab research and staging support.
High Dynamic Range (HDR)
In addition to conventional Dynamic Range Stretch (DRS) and Digital Noise Reduction (DNR), the AW-HE42W/K is equipped with High Dynamic Range (HDR) mode. When shooting and synthesizing two images with different exposure times, the AW-HE42 can create a video with high visibility that corrects for halation and black defects even under backlit conditions.
Pan/Tilt/Zoom
The pan range of ±175° and the tilt range of -30° to +90° cover a wide shooting area. Pan and tilt operate at a maximum speed of 90°/second and respond quickly to remote control operation. They operate quietly at a sound level of NC35 or lower. Up to 100 preset positions and camera settings are stored in the camera, more than enough for the most demanding large venue installation. The camera weighs only 3.3 lbs. and consumes just over 14.4 watts at 12 VDC.
Video Outputs: Standard professional interfaces include 3G-SDI, as well as IP/Network for single cable delivery of high-quality content up to 1080/60i.
