Orlando, FL – June 11, 2025 – At InfoComm 2025, AJA Video Systems launched the new DRM2-Plus. It’s a powerful 3RU rack frame that holds up to 24 AJA Mini-Converters. This system is made for proAV, film, live events, and broadcast setups. It helps you save space, stay organized, and work faster.

What Is the DRM2-Plus?

The DRM2-Plus is an upgrade to AJA’s earlier DRM2 model. It adds more space, stronger power, and better airflow. It also makes it easier to add or swap converters.

You can choose between four models. Each one supports active or passive cooling. You also get the choice of single or dual power supplies. Each supply offers up to 288 watts, giving you lots of headroom for power-hungry setups.

How It Works

You can use the optional DRM2-YC Y-cable to double-stack smaller AJA Mini-Converters. These include FiDO and D5 Series models with Mini-Con-X power ports. With this setup, you can mount up to 24 small converters in a single frame.

You can also mount:

• 12 mid-size AJA converters with built-in Mini-Con-X

• 6 large AJA converters like the DANTE-12GAM with LCD screens and Mini-XLR power

• A mix of Mini-Con-X and Mini-XLR converters, using AJA adapter tools

You can even install a USB hub inside the frame to control the Mini-Converters without extra cables outside the rack.

Smart Cooling Options

Working in a studio or server room? Choose the active faceplate with 4 fans for strong airflow.

Need quiet performance? Go with the passive faceplate for silent cooling.

Both options keep your gear cool and safe.

Easy Setup and Service

Each Mini-Converter sits on a carrier. Carriers slide in and out quickly. You don’t need tools. If you need to update firmware or make changes, just open the faceplate and access the slot. It’s that easy.

You can also swap or add converters on the fly—no need to remove the whole rack unit.
