NewTek NDI High Bandwidth

NDI performs best in a dedicated network with high bandwidth and availability. In contrast, in unmanaged environments such as the public Internet or networks, video rides alongside data without regard for priority.

While a single HD video stream can be easily delivered over a Fast Ethernet (100 Mbps) network, Gigabit (1000 Mbps) networks are required in production workflows. A typical NDI stream that contains 1080i HD video has a data rate of up to 100 Mbps per stream. This extremely efficient stream is designed for low latency and allows multiple streams to be stacked together on a single Gigabit network.
