This Teranex Mini Optical to Analog 12G from Blackmagic Design converts the 12G-SDI signal to the analog BNC output. On connectivity, the input can handle, up to DCI 4K (4096 x 2160) 60p, then will be downscaled to the 1080p30 on the output. The optical fiber module is not included, however, it is supported on the rear port connectivity. The Ethernet port has dual functions: as a port to give remote control from Mac or Windows computer with the included Converter Utility software and as a power supply connectivity. In addition, this unit also has the built-in 90-240V power supply with the IEC power cable.
Portability in size of this Teranex Mini Optical to Analog 12G allows you to stack-up around 3 units in the optional 1RU 19" rack tray. This device comes with the Standard Panel that can be switched with the optional Smart Panel. The Standard Panel consist of mini switches useful for doing the changing on the settings. As an optional, when using the Smart Panel, you can have some different buttons and features such as color LCD, spin knob, 6 control buttons and the menu button. The LCD gives the display of ongoing video conversion while at the same time monitor the audio level as well as verify the timecode.
To have a stable performance even on the long hours of usage, this Teranex Mini Optical to Analog 12G comes with the intelligent heat dissipation that prevents any overheating. When several rack-mounted devices are arranged closely, there is an inclination of increment on the temperature and the smart thermal design along with the crossflow cooling works together to keep the air flowing. Also, there will be an instant notification appears when the temperature gets hot.
