The Blackmagic Design Teranex Mini Audio to SDI 12G Converter embed up to 2 channels of audio from balanced analog, optical or HiFi RCA, or embed up to or 4 channels of AES/EBU digital audio into any SD, HD, Ultra HD or DCI 4K SDI video connection. Take audio from devices such as audio mixers, iPods and analog decks and embed it into SDI video connections for use with SDI routers and decks.
From any different set of audio connections, this Teranex Mini Audio to SDI 12G can handle, up to Full 4K DCI 4096x2160p resolution via the 12G-SDI input and embed the audio signal. This device can also embed 2 channels of analog audio, up to 4 channels of AES/EBU digital audio via full-size, professional, balanced XLR ports, two channels of unbalanced analog line-level audio via RCA connectors or optical S/PDIF audio via TOSLINK input.
Made with compact size, Teranex Mini Audio to SDI 12G serves a useful function to be stacked up to other rack-mounted devices in the 1U 19" rack tray and can be disconnected easily. The Ethernet port can also be used as a power supply. Alternatively, there is the built-in 90-240V power supply with an IEC power cable to give a similar function.
As a useful technology, Teranex Mini Audio to SDI 12G has an intelligent thermal subsystem that gives the functionality to prevent any overheating even when using it, for long hours. That feature also gives a notification when the temperature changes hotter.
