Outstanding Low-Light
ISO is a measurement of the image sensor's sensitivity to light in modern cameras. This means that when the ISO increases, more gain may be applied, allowing you to photograph in natural light or even at night! The gain of the Blackmagic Studio Camera ranges from -12dB (100 ISO) to +36dB (25,600 ISO), making it ideal for reducing grain and noise in pictures while retaining the sensor's entire dynamic range. The native ISO of the camera is 400, which is suitable for usage under studio lighting. When photographing in dimly light settings, the secondary high base ISO of 3200 is ideal. The gain may be adjusted directly on the camera or via SDI or Ethernet remote camera control from a switcher.

7 " Viewfinder
The enormous number 7 "Because it's large enough to make framing photos much easier, a high-resolution screen will completely change how you operate with the camera. The Pro model has an HDR display with exceptionally high brightness, which is ideal for use outside in direct sunshine! Overlays on the screen display status and recording parameters, as well as histograms, focus peaking indications, levels, and frame guides, among other things. 3D LUTs may also be used to monitor photos with the desired color and appearance. Menus are also available on the touchscreen, and you may load and configure presets for certain tasks. The accompanying sunshade can be folded to cover the screen while being transported, and it is also compatible with sunshades from the Blackmagic Studio Viewfinder.

Touchscreen and Physical Controls
Physical buttons and knobs, as well as touchscreen controls, are available on Blackmagic Studio Cameras. Brightness, contrast, and focus peaking may all be adjusted using the knobs on the right side of the camera. The focus peaking knob is quite important since it allows you to fine-tune the detail highlight when zooming, allowing you to achieve perfect focus. Functions such as zebra, false color, focus peaking, LUTs, and more may be given to the three function buttons on the left. You may also alter the purpose given to each menu button. A heads-up display with the most critical shooting information, as well as menus for all camera settings, LUTs, and custom presets, are all available on the touchscreen.

Built-in tally
A huge tally light on Blackmagic Studio Cameras flashes red for on-air, green for preview, and orange for ISO recording. The tally light also features clear camera numbers that can be clipped on, allowing talent to see them from up to 20 feet away! The SDI tally standard is supported by all ATEM live production switchers, and the HDMI tally is supported by ATEM Mini switchers. The tally information will be delivered back to the cameras through the SDI program return feed, lighting up the tally light on the camera anytime it's on-air, allowing a director to cut between cameras. SDI tally removes complicated wiring, allowing for a speedier work setup.

Connecting in Four Ways
Blackmagic Studio Cameras may be linked in a variety of ways. All versions have HDMI, making them ideal for HDMI switchers like the ATEM Mini. A single HDMI connection may handle video, tally, control, and record trigger for a broadcast-style workflow. Because the Blackmagic Studio Camera 4K Pro includes 12G SDI, it can be used with SDI switchers like the ATEM Constellation. A 12G SDI connector is provided for camera video, and another is provided for program return. Tally, talkback, and remote camera control are all included in the program return. Alternatively, you may utilize a standard Cat6A Ethernet line to obtain camera footage, program return, tally, talkback, camera control, and even power using 10G Ethernet.

Microphones Built-in
Blackmagic Studio Cameras include built-in microphones, allowing you to incorporate sound into the design while saving time during setup. Furthermore, the built-in microphones are stress and wind-resistant, ensuring excellent sound quality even in adverse situations. You may make use of the studio camera design for better stereo separation than what is achievable with a normal video camera by placing each microphone at the screen's borders. There's also a 3.5mm audio input and a 3.5mm headphone connector for attaching video camera mics. Professional XLR audio inputs are included on the Blackmagic Studio Camera Pro model, as well as a built-in speaker for listening to the program return audio.

Video of the Program to Watch
At the touch of a button, the Blackmagic Studio Camera allows you to see program video from the switcher! Simply push the PGM button on the camera, and the viewfinder will transition from the camera display to the switcher's program return feed. Additionally, the switcher audio may be monitored via the built-in speaker. Program return is a wonderful feature since camera operators might often be left waiting a long time for their camera to be utilized on huge live programs, thus program return allows them to watch the show while they wait. This implies that even if the camera operator is a long way from the switcher, they can keep track of what's going on and be attentive.

Powers from DC or 10G Ethernet
Blackmagic Studio Cameras have lots of different power options! A standard 12V DC locking power connection is used on all versions to prevent the cable from being unintentionally yanked out. In addition, the camera comes with a power supply that incorporates five different AC socket adapters for different nations. If you connect the Blackmagic Studio Camera 4K Pro model to a single Ethernet wire, the whole camera and its accessories may be powered via the Ethernet connection. The Blackmagic Studio Converter comes with a huge power supply that provides PoE power to the Ethernet cable, eliminating the need for a separate power source for the camera. When there is no electricity where the cameras are located, this is a fantastic option!
