The Blackmagic Design URSA Mini Pro 12K with OLPF is a digital film revolution with its 12,288 x 6,480 pixel 12K Super 35 sensor and 14-stop dynamic range. The third-generation URSA Mini Pro is equipped with new color science and captures 80 megapixels per frame in Blackmagic RAW. In addition, there are built-in ND filters, a lens mount that can be changed by the user, and dual CFast or SD card recording. URSA Mini Pro 12K supports recording directly to a flash drive or SSD via its built-in SuperSpeed USBC connection.

Digital Film, Extreme Resolution
URSA Mini Pro 12K's extraordinary resolution surpasses that of conventional film! You obtain the advantages of shooting with film, such as remarkable detail, a broad dynamic range, and rich, deep colors. Ideal for feature-length films, television episodes, and immersive, large-format IMAX. It is suitable for working with green screen and visual effects, including the compositing of live action and CGI, due to the high level of detail surrounding objects. Supersampling at 12K provides not only improved color and resolution at 8K, but also a fluidity resulting from the elimination of aliasing. This new generation of digital film technology introduces analog-style subtlety and purity for an experience that surpasses film.

Cinematic Super 35 12K Sensor
The Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro 12K features an innovative new sensor with an inherent resolution of 12,288 x 6480, which is an astounding 80 megapixels per frame! The Super 35 sensor has a native ISO of 800 and a dynamic range of 14 stops. The new 12K sensor has an equal number of red, green, and blue pixels and is optimized for multiple image resolutions. You can shoot 12K at 60 fps or use in-sensor scaling to capture 8K or 4K RAW at up to 110 fps without having to crop or alter your field of view. The interchangeable lens mount of the URSA Mini Pro enables you to choose from the largest selection of vintage and modern cinema lenses, allowing you to capture every ounce of personality and detail from your preferred optics.

Shoot in 12K, Edit on a Laptop
The URSA Mini Pro 12K sensor and Blackmagic RAW were created in tandem to facilitate 12 bit RAW workflows in 12K. As a highly efficient next-generation codec, Blackmagic RAW allows you to capture in 12K and edit on a laptop, which is not possible with any other codec. Due to the sensor's high resolution, images can be reframed in post-production for delivery in 8K and 4K. It's like shooting with multiple cameras using only one. Additionally, it is ideal for vertical and square videos. With the advanced design of the sensor and Blackmagic RAW, you can immediately work in any resolution in post-production without rendering, while retaining the full color accuracy of the sensor.

Blackmagic RAW Fueled Image Capture
Only Blackmagic RAW can produce 80 megapixel, 12-bit, cinema-quality images at up to 60 frames per second. Constant quality Q0 and Q5 options, as well as the new Q1 and Q3 options, secure the quality level, allowing compression to adapt to the scene's particulars. The constant bitrate encoding options 5:1, 8:1, 12:1, and the new 18:1 are intended to provide the highest quality images with constant file sizes. You can record RAW to two cards simultaneously, allowing you to capture 12K or 8K at high frame rates to either CFast or UHSII cards! Virtual Cinema Production
The high frequencies of the LED matrix in video walls can cause interference patterns for ultra-sharp modern lenses and high-resolution sensors when filming in virtual production environments. Using an optical low pass filter reduces this interference, thereby decreasing moiré and aliasing. URSA Mini Pro 12K OLPF adds a 12K sensor-optimized, high-performance optical low-pass filter. When combined with Blackmagic RAW processing for the URSA Mini Pro 12K OLPF, the updated IR filtration in the OLPF preserves color and critical image detail for new levels of image fidelity.

Optimized for Fast Flexible Post Production
Shooting in RAW at 12K allows for the most precise control over exposure, color, and detail during post-production. As a result of oversampling, 8K is incredibly sharp without any jagged margins. Blackmagic RAW is optimized to accelerate 12K for post-production, making it as simple to work with as HD or Ultra HD files. It is highly optimized, multithreaded, compatible with multiple CPU processors, and GPU accelerated for compatibility with Apple Metal, CUDA, and OpenCL. So that you can always interact with the RAW files from your camera without having to create proxies. Blackmagic RAW 12K images offer unprecedented resolution and fidelity for 4K and 8K color grading, keying, compositing, reframing, stabilization, and tracking.

Generation 5 Color Science
Blackmagic Generation 5 Color Science includes a new film curve designed to maximize the use of the vast quantity of color data provided by the new URSA Mini Pro 12K sensor. This provides enhanced color response for more pleasing skin tones and enhanced rendering of highly saturated colors such as neon signs and automobile taillights in situations with high contrast. Generation 5 Color Science informs sophisticated Blackmagic RAW image processing, preserving color and dynamic range data from the sensor as metadata for post-production use. Generation 5 Color Science is compatible with all previously captured Blackmagic RAW files, allowing you to take advantage of the new film curve even with your existing footage.

Full Resolution at Higher Frame Rates
URSA Mini Pro 12K is an all-in-one camera capable of shooting at conventional resolutions and frame rates in 4K, 8K, and even 12K! With a massive 80 megapixels per frame at 60 frames per second in RAW, you can simultaneously capture perfect stills and motion photos with a single camera! You can capture up to 60 frames per second in 12K 12,288 x 6480 17:9! For higher frame rates, you can capture 110 fps at 8192 x 4320, 140 fps at 8192 x 3408, and even 220 fps at 4096 x 2160 DCI by windowing the sensor to Super 16! The URSA Mini Pro 12K has variable frame rate and resolution options and captures with enhanced motion rendering, resulting in smoother edges in 8K and 4K at lesser frame rates.

High Band Width Recording
URSA Mini Pro is the ultimate high-bandwidth recorder with three options for recording 12K, a resolution that is nearly 10 times that of Ultra HD. Dual CFast and UHSII SD card recorders are included, along with a SuperSpeed USBC expansion connector for recording to fast SATA and NVMe drives. When "Record RAW on 2 Cards" is enabled, the URSA Mini Pro 12K can record simultaneously to two cards at 900MB/s to two CFast cards or 500MB/s to two UHSII SD cards. The SuperSpeed USBC expansion port on the camera's rear can record to USBC flash storage at up to 900MB/s as a third recording option, giving you plenty of options for capturing 12K at up to 60 fps or 8K at up to 110 fps.

Built in Precision ND Filters
With the URSA Mini Pro's high-quality ND filters, you can rapidly limit the amount of light entering the camera. Designed to match the colorimetry and color science of the camera, the 2, 4, and 6-stop filters offer additional latitude, even in severe lighting conditions. The IR filters have been designed to filter both optical and IR wavelengths uniformly in order to eradicate the IR contamination of images caused by many ND filters. URSA Mini Pro ND filters are true optical filters with a mechanism that moves them rapidly into position when the ND filter dial is rotated. On the LCD, filter parameters can even be displayed as ND numbers, stop reductions, or fractions!

USB-C for Direct Recording to External Disks
Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro incorporates an innovative USB-C Expansion Port with a high transfer rate. The 4.6K G2 model features USBC 3.1 Gen 1 with a maximum transfer rate of 5 Gb/s, while the new 12K model features USBC 3.1 Gen 2 with a maximum transfer rate of 10 Gb/s. On URSA Mini Pro 12K, you can connect and power external SSDs and flash drives, or you can connect the new URSA Mini Recorder for recording to fast NVMe SSD drives for extended recording periods. NVMe SSD drives are excellent for shooting 12K in the highest constant quality 12bit Blackmagic RAW at the Q0 setting, as well as for capturing high frame rates. When filming is complete, you can simply transfer the external disk to your computer and begin editing from the same disk, eradicating the need for file duplication!

High Resolution Monitoring and Camera Control
The URSA Mini Pro's built-in articulating touchscreen is a bright, high-resolution color display with a wide viewing angle, making it ideal for monitoring and reviewing photos on set! The screen can also display a "heads up display" overlay containing essential information such as format, frame rate, aperture, timecode, shutter angle, white balance, and ISO, among others. Plus, you get a histogram, status indicators for card recording, and audio meters! The heads-up display can be shown or hidden by sliding up or down. The telescoping touchscreen also allows you to utilize the exceptional Blackmagic operating software, granting you instantaneous access to all camera functions, a digital slate for metadata management, and more!

Digital Slate for Fast Metadata Entry
URSA Mini Pro features a digital slate so you can quickly add metadata to any shot! Simply swipe left or right on the built in touchscreen to bring up the digital slate. If you start and stop recording the slate can automatically increment the take numbers so you don’t have to enter them manually for each shot! You can also set your reel numbers to increment automatically each time you format a card. Lens metadata is automatically populated or it can be entered manually, along with production specific information, technical information and more! All of the metadata is saved with the files for use in post production when editing and color correcting with software such as DaVinci Resolve!

Durable Connections that Work with Standard Cables
URSA Mini Pro has numerous connectors, including 12GSDI out, LANC, balanced XLR audio with 48 volt phantom power, timecode in, reference input, and a headphone jack. In addition, there is a 4 pin XLR DC output for powering accessories like a viewfinder, as well as an HDSDI output for monitoring. That means you can connect an SDI display for on-set monitoring of images, with or without annotations displaying important information and camera status. A 12 pin Hirose connector is also present for regulating servo zoom lenses. URSA Mini Pro 4.6K G2 and URSA Mini Pro 12K are both equipped with a USBC expansion connector for recording to external disks, which is conveniently located on the 12K model's rear.

Wireless Bluetooth Camera Control
If the camera is mounted on the end of a jib or gimbal, you can control it via Bluetooth from up to 10 meters away. Optional Shoulder Mount Kit
URSA Mini Pro cameras have multiple 1/4-inch mount ports on the bottom, allowing them to be directly attached to any tripod. You can use the optional Blackmagic URSA Mini Shoulder Kit to rapidly transition from tripod to handheld and vice versa. This kit contains a shoulder pad with integrated rosettes, rail mounts, and quick lock release attachment points for immediate latching onto the quick release plate without the need to remove the shoulder pad. You also receive a top handle for transporting the camera and attaching accessories, such as the Blackmagic URSA Viewfinder and a support arm for Blackmagic Video Assist.

High Resolution Viewfinder for Accurate Focus
The optional Blackmagic URSA Viewfinder is designed to complement URSA Mini Pro perfectly. You receive a high-resolution 1920 x 1080 color OLED display with precision glass optics, an adjustable diopter, and a built-in digital focus chart, allowing you to always achieve ideal focus. In addition to a pristine image feed, you can view critical status information such as frame guides and more. On top of the viewfinder are assignable function controls for zooming, enabling overlays, adjusting focus peaking, and other functions. Blackmagic URSA Mini Recorder
The new Blackmagic URSA Mini Recorder allows 12-bit Blackmagic RAW files to be recorded onto 2.5-inch SSDs, including the most recent U.2 NVMe Enterprise SSDs. SSDs, such as the most recent 7mm U.2 NVMe disks, are incredibly quick, with transmission rates of up to 900 MB/s! This lightning-fast performance enables extended recording times for 4K, 8K, and 12K 12bit Blackmagic RAW files encoded with the highest quality Q0 encoding. The Blackmagic URSA Mini Recorder has a design that allows it to mount directly to the back of your URSA Mini Pro between the camera and the battery. There is no need to manually initiate or stop the SSD recorder because it is controlled via USBC.

Compatible with Industry Standard Batteries and Power
URSA Mini Pro is equipped with a 4pin XLR power connector that is compatible with 12V to 18V external power supplies. Thus, the camera is compatible with all of your existing power supplies and batteries! URSA Mini Pro cameras share the same battery power connector and mounting locations on the rear of the camera, allowing you to use a variety of battery plates from IDX, Blueshape, Anton Bauer, and others. Additionally, you can add the optional Blackmagic URSA VLock Battery Plate or Blackmagic URSA Gold Battery Plate for VMount and Gold Mount batteries.
