The BirdDog P4K 3x 4K Full NDI PTZ Camera with PTZ Controller (Black) has a 1" Sony Exmor R CMOS backlit Sensor and 14.4 million effective pixels, allowing it to deliver stunning images in 4K resolutions with Full Bandwidth NDI. The P4K has excellent light sensitivity, making it ideal for all broadcast applications, sports, remote studios, newsrooms, houses of worship, and any shoot where quality is important.
Sony 1" Sensor
The best images come from the best sensors, and the P4K is built entirely around the best sensor in its class. The massive 1" Sony Exmor R CMOS backlit sensor produces truly stunning images in all shooting modes and frame rates, whether in HD or 4K.
Full NDI
There are two types of NDI®: NDI® and NDI|HX. NDI® is a variable bit rate, I-Frame codec that can reach around 140Mbits at 1080p60 and is visually lossless. NDI|HX is a compressed, long-GOP H.264 variant with a bitrate of around 12Mbits at 1080p60. P4K is a Full NDI® camera.
BirdDog Cloud Integration
P4K can communicate with BirdDog Cloud without the need for a computer running Cloud Core. Simply connect the P4K to your network and configure it with BirdDog Cloud Command to control all P4K functions from anywhere in the world. Roads? You don't need roads to get where we're going.
Shoot in true cinematic styles
P4K is a PTZ designed for the most demanding live production shoots and supports all of the traditional frame rates you'd expect, including 29.97, but now you can use your PTZ as a camera for TV commercials, drama, and shoot 24p for that wonderful cinematic look.

10-bit
The P4K is a 10-bit sensor, and with NDI4 you can have an end-to-end 10-bit workflow. Perfect for broadcasters and other productions where bit depth is important. With 10-bit support, you can record NDI feeds with free tools like NewTek NDI Monitor or IsoCorder Pro.
Full NDI and 6G SDI/HDMI
Full NDI. Two independent 6G SDI outputs and one HDMI 2.0 output are available at all times, allowing for incredibly flexible workflows.
Genlock
Using the Genlock input, you can now synchronize multiple cameras. All of your cameras can now feed into your NDI-enabled vision mixer at the same time, eliminating the need for frame buffers.
Precision control at your fingertips
P4robotics K's are extremely accurate and sensitive. Reduce the panning and tilting speeds to create dramatic professional shots, or increase the speeds for high-action sports to allow you to follow the movements.
Tally lights in 360 degrees
The front, back, and side Tally lights work together to form a 360-degree Tally light. Everyone on the set can now tell which camera is live to air.
ePTZ in HD Mode
In HD Mode, you can use the massive sensor to create Regions of Interest for your HD production. Select any HD frame from the 4K frames.
