The Sigma 16mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary Lens (Canon EF-M) is part of Sigma's Contemporary series and is designed for use with Canon EF-M-mount mirrorless cameras. It combines a comfortable wide-angle design with an extremely rapid maximum aperture. This lens is adept at working in low-light conditions due to its dazzling maximum aperture of f/1.4, and it also provides enhanced depth of field control for selective focus control. The optical design employs a number of low dispersion and aspherical elements to control color fringing and various aberrations in order to provide high acuity and clarity across the entire aperture range. Individual elements also feature an ultra multilayered coating to reduce flare and ghosting, thereby enhancing contrast and color fidelity when working under intense lighting conditions. In addition to its optical advantages, this lens features a stepping AF motor for fast, quiet, and smooth focusing performance that is suitable for both still and video photography.
