The Lynx Technik yellobrik OTX 1812 3Gb SDI to Fiber Optic Transmitter with Fiber LC is a tiny SDI to fiber optic transmitter designed to overcome the limitations associated with the long-distance distribution of uncompressed broadcast quality video signals. When combined with a fiber optic to SDI receiver (for example, the yellobrik ORX 1802), you have a very cost-effective optical transmission/receiver solution for signals up to 1080p60 (3Gbit/s) while retaining full uncompressed quality.
The OTX 1812 has a looping SDI input, support for LC, ST, or SC single-mode fiber connections, and an LC variant for multimode fiber. Prior to optical transmission, the OTX 1812 will auto-detect and re-clock any 270Mbit/s, 1.5Gbit/s, or 3Gbit/s SDI source. The module fully supports 3G Level A and Level B formats.
