NETGEAR Enhances the M4250 AV Switches with a Unique NewTek NDI® Profile
The NETGEAR M4250 AV Line of switches is engineered for 1G AV over IP and is designed for clean integration in a rack, under a table, or behind a display. Each switch comes pre-configured with a unique NDI® profile. PoE+ and Ultra 90 PoE++ models enable the powering of cameras, endpoints, and other devices. NETGEAR IGMP PlusTM, Auto-LAG, and Auto-Trunk functionality ensure true out-of-the-box functionality – even with multiple switches.

M4250 Switches from NETGEAR's AV Line are designed and engineered for audio/video professionals, with dedicated service and support.

M4250 Switcher line was designed from the ground up for the growing AV over IP market, combining years of networking expertise in AV gained with the M4300 and M4500 series with best practices from industry experts. AV codecs typically operate at 1Gbps or 10Gbps per stream, and the M4250's AV Line is optimized for 1Gbps codecs. PoE+, Ultra90 PoE++, and rear-facing ports all contribute to seamless integration into AV racks.

M4250 switches are pre-configured for audio and video signals that are commonly used. When more precise requirements exist, an AV user interface allows for customization via port-based profiles.

For audio, Dante, Q-SYS, and AES67 profiles are available, as is an AVB profile that requires a separate AVB license. For video, the M4250 supports NVX, AMX, Q-SYS, NewTek NDI, and Dante profiles, as well as mixed audio/video/control profiles. When multiple switches are used, NETGEAR IGMP PlusTM automates the process by simply connecting them together or by using M4300 and M4500 switches.
