BirdDog Play is a brand-new hardware device that was created as a low-cost NDI receiver to enable the widespread distribution of NDI. Play is the world's lowest-cost NDI hardware, retailing at $149.00. It leverages the latest advances in NDI 5 support for ARM processors.
Our goal with PLAY is to provide a complete turnkey solution for low-cost NDI® monitoring. Along with being competitively priced, PLAY is a full member of the BirdDog family, including:
- API Control, including Crestron APIs
- Connectivity to BirdDog Central
- Integration with BirdDog Cloud
- A simple-to-use interface that shares the DNA of the upcoming SDM family
- BirdDog Play supports a variety of video formats and resolutions up to 4K60p, including NDI®, NDI|HX2, BirdDog Cloud Connect (see below), SRT, and NDI® Remote. Each format has a unique video resolution and frame rate – final details will be announced prior to shipping.
PLAY is designed to be mounted behind TVs and commercial displays and includes a magnetic base for mounting to the back of your TV and keeping the unit neat and tidy.
Powered by USB-C (5v, 1.5a), the PLAY device is incredibly simple to install and can be powered via the on-board USB port found on the majority of modern television sets.
PLAY is scheduled to be available in Q3.
