The Blackmagic Design URSA Mini Pro 4.6K G2 Digital Cinema Camera is a high-tech camera that is perfect for professional filmmakers. The electronic parts of the second-generation URSA Mini Pro have been completely redesigned, and it can record in the new Blackmagic RAW format. This camera is versatile and easy to use. It can record on CFast or SD cards or directly on external flash drives through its new USB Type-C expansion port. The 4.6K Super 35mm sensor can take pictures with a maximum resolution of 4608 x 2592 pixels, 15 stops of dynamic range, and an ISO of 3200. This lets you get high-quality images at 120 fps in 4.6K, 150 fps in 4K DCI in window mode, and up to 300 fps in 1080 HD in window mode. Because of this, the URSA Mini Pro G2 is a great choice for professional filmmakers who want an easy-to-use camera with high performance.

The URSA Mini Pro G2 from Blackmagic Design is the best digital cinema camera on the market. This camera is built to be very tough and full of features. It has an aluminum body and professional features like an external and backlit LCD status display, a foldable touch screen, 12G-SDI and XLR audio connections, and built-in stereo microphones. The magnesium alloy body is small enough to hold in one hand and strong enough to be used anywhere. This makes it a great choice for professional filmmakers. The camera also has two sets of controls, including power, so that it can still be used even if something goes wrong in the field.

The URSA Mini Pro G2 also has neutral density (ND) filters with IR compensation that make it easy to quickly cut down on how much light gets into the camera. The 2, 4, and 6 stop filters are made to match the colorimetry of the camera and give you more room to work with, even when the light is harsh. To get rid of IR contamination, these filters even out the wavelengths of both far red and infrared light. The ND filters are real optical filters, and when the ND filter dial is turned, a precise mechanism moves them quickly into place.

The camera also uses Blackmagic Design's Generation 4 Color Science for better imaging. This makes skin tones and colors look beautiful and real. Blackmagic RAW images are encoded using a custom non-linear 12-bit space that is made to give the most color information and dynamic range possible. These formats can be saved directly to flash drives or CFast or SD cards using the new USB-C expansion port. Overall, the URSA Mini Pro G2 is a powerful and flexible camera that is perfect for professional filmmakers.

The URSA Mini Pro 4.6K G2 is a digital cinema camera that can be used in many different situations to take high-quality pictures. It can take Blackmagic RAW images in both film and extended video modes. This makes it good for high-end feature films, TV shows, commercials, and indie films, as well as broadcast news, studio, and even live multi-camera production. This makes the URSA Mini Pro 4.6K G2 perfect for capturing fast-moving, stylized documentary work, nature photography, sports, and more.

Blackmagic RAW is a revolutionary, next-generation codec that gives users visually lossless images, a lot of metadata support, and highly optimized GPU and CPU accelerated processing. This codec combines the speed and ease of use of standard video codecs with the speed and quality of traditional RAW formats. With Blackmagic RAW, users can choose compression levels of up to 12:1 and still get stunning images that can be used for feature films, documentaries, and broadcast programming.

It's important to be able to choose compression levels like 12:1 because that lets users get the most frames per second out of the camera. This means that only Blackmagic RAW can allow high frame rates while keeping enough quality for professional results. This makes the URSA Mini Pro 4.6K G2 the perfect camera for taking high-quality pictures in a variety of settings.

Lightweight, Portable Design
The Blackmagic Camera URSA Mini Pro is designed to include everything you need in a portable camera so you can take it anywhere! The evenly weighted camera body is made from lightweight, robust magnesium alloy. Buttons, switches, and dials are laid out in a logical order that makes them easy to find by feel while using the viewfinder. An external backlit LCD status display lets you view critical information. Plus there’s a 4" fold-out touchscreen for reviewing shots and accessing the menu settings. You get connections such as 12G‑SDI in and out, USB‑C, 48-volt phantom power XLR audio, timecode, and reference in. The optional Blackmagic Shoulder Mount Kit lets you go from tripod to handheld in seconds.

Interchangeable Lens Mounts
Since different projects need different lenses, the URSA Mini Pro has a lens mount that lets you change lenses. On the URSA Mini Pro 12K, you can quickly switch between PL, EF, and F mount lenses. On the URSA Mini Pro 4.6K G2, you can also use B4 lenses. This means you can use high-quality large PL cinema lenses, photographic lenses with EF or F mounts, and even B4 broadcast lenses. This makes URSA Mini Pro compatible with the widest range of professional lenses possible. You can buy extra PL, EF, F, and B4 lens mounts separately. With URSA Mini Pro, you get a single camera that works with almost all professional lenses. This gives you the freedom to choose the lens you need for any job.

Built-in Precision ND Filters
With the URSA Mini Pro's high-quality ND filters, you can quickly cut down on how much light gets into the camera. The 2, 4, and 6 stop filters are made to match the colorimetry and color science of the camera. They give you more room to work with, even in harsh lighting. The IR filters are made to filter both optical wavelengths and IR wavelengths evenly so that IR doesn't mess up the images, which can happen with many ND filters. When the ND filter dial is turned, the URSA Mini Pro ND filters quickly move into place thanks to a precise mechanism. On the LCD, the settings can even be shown as an ND number, a stop reduction, or a fraction.

USB-C for Direct Recording to External Disks
The USB-C Expansion Port on the Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro is a new and useful feature. The 4.6K G2 model has USB-C 3.1 Gen 1, which can go up to 5 Gb/s. The new 12K model, on the other hand, has USB-C 3.1 Gen 2, which can go up to 10 Gb/s. You can connect and power external SSDs and flash drives, or you can connect the new URSA Mini Recorder to the URSA Mini Pro 12K to record to fast NVMe SSD drives for longer recording times. NVMe SSD drives are perfect for shooting at 12K in the highest quality 12bit Blackmagic RAW on the Q0 setting or at high frame rates. When you're done shooting, you can move the external disk to your computer and start editing from the same disk, so you don't have to copy any files.

High-Resolution Monitoring and Camera Control
The URSA Mini Pro's built-in 4" foldable touchscreen is a bright, high-resolution color display with a wide viewing angle. This makes it perfect for monitoring and reviewing shots on set. The screen can also show you a "heads up display" with important information like format, frame rate, iris, timecode, shutter angle, white balance, ISO, and more. You also get a histogram, status lights for the card recording, and audio meters. You can swipe up or down to show or hide the heads-up display. You can also use the amazing Blackmagic operating software on the fold-out touchscreen, which gives you quick access to every camera function, a digital slate for managing metadata, and more.

Digital Slate for Fast Metadata Entry
With the digital slate on the URSA Mini Pro, you can quickly add metadata to any shot. To bring up the digital slate, just swipe left or right on the built-in touch screen. If you start and stop recording, the slate can automatically increase the take numbers so you don't have to type them in for each shot! You can also set the reel numbers to go up every time you format a card. Metadata about a lens can be filled in automatically or by hand. Production-specific information, technical information, and more can also be entered. All of the metadata is saved with the files so that it can be used in post-production when editing and correcting colors with software like DaVinci Resolve!

Optional Shoulder Mount Kit
The bottom of the URSA Mini Pro cameras has a number of 1/4-inch mount points, so you can attach them to any tripod. You can use the optional Blackmagic URSA Mini Shoulder Kit to quickly switch from a tripod to a handheld position and back again. This kit includes the shoulder pad with built in rosettes, rail mounts, and integrated quick lock release attachment points for instantly latching onto the quick release plate without removing the shoulder pad. You also get a top handle for carrying the camera and attaching accessories like the Blackmagic URSA Viewfinder, a support arm for Blackmagic Video Assist, and more!

A full version of DaVinci Resolve Studio is included with the URSA Mini Pro. You get the most advanced solution in the world that combines professional editing, color correction, audio post, and visual effects all in one software tool! More Hollywood feature films are finished with DaVinci Resolve than with any other solution, so you'll get the best post-production tools to edit native video from your camera and keep all of the quality. DaVinci Resolve Studio gives you a completely lossless workflow for native editing, color correction, effects, audio, and delivery, no matter if you're working on a big Hollywood movie, an episode of TV, a music video, a commercial, or even the most recent YouTube video.
