The Blackmagic Audio Monitor 12G is a single rack real time audio monitoring solutions that support SD/HD/3G/6G/12G-SDI including digital AES/EBU and analog audio that can be used with a variety of video and audio sources in live, post production and broadcast environments.
Blackmagic Audio Monitor 12G supports 12G-SDI so you can connect Ultra HD video up to 60 frames per second. Left and right channel LED level meters let you see where your audio is peaking and the built in LCD shows your SDI video input plus important information such as input connection type, video format, frame rate, audio channels and volume level. You can monitor up to 16 channels of embedded SDI audio, or use XLR connectors for balanced analog and AES/EBU digital audio. There are also RCA connectors so you can plug in consumer equipment such as HiFi systems and iPods. Blackmagic Audio Monitor 12G includes two high quality internal full range speakers and two sub woofers that give you a wide range of frequencies for clear and deep sound reproduction, or you can connect a headset for confident sound monitoring that is great if you are in a noisy environment.

Compact size
The Blackmagic Audio Monitor 12G has been designed using audio analysis technology to create a wide and smooth frequency response curve with crisp highs and powerful deep bass. The user can get excellent sounding music, clear voice tracks and all the detail of effects tracks. This Audio Monitor 12G is powerful and loud enough to hear your audio in very loud environments, including broadcast equipment rooms that has cooling fan noise.
Design
It has a machined aluminum front panel that’s both elegant and strong. The two full range stereo speakers and dual subwoofers are secured on each side of the panel behind metal speaker grills.
Metering
There is a precision meter that have 2 bright audio level meters on the front panel feature multi colored RGB LEDs under each segment. The user can choose between VU or PPM or Loudness scales with a choice of the EBU or BBC meters. There are some many of meter segments that you can monitor a very wide dynamic range, from -45 to +3 decibels, -12 to +12, or 0 to 7, depending on the scale you choose. Moreover, you can meter Loudness using standard Loudness, K‑weighted, relative to Full Scale (LKFS) to normalize of levels for delivery to broadcast TV and video. The bright audio level meters are always clear enough to read, no matter if you are working in bright or dark environments.
12G‑SDI
The Audio Monitor 12G supports SD, HD and UltraHD video resolutions. The Monitor features an 12G‑SDI input and HDMI 2.0 output that can support high resolution UltraHD monitoring. The technology of 12G‑SDI is 48 times faster than standard HD‑SDI, so you can work at resolutions and frame rates as high as 2160p60, all over a single cable. The user can connect to UltraHD TVs and projectors with HDMI 4K, and you can monitor any of the 16 audio channels on the 12G‑SDI input.
