This monitor recorder also support 1080p60 recording and live switching along with a 1200nit bright screen ideal for monitoring in the bright sunlight. Atomos SUMO also can connect seamlessly to any HDMI or SDI device and can also convert between 3G Quad Link/6G/12G and HDMI 2.0 SDI in almost any combination.

Features and benefits

Going large both in the studio and in the field:
The 19” 1920x1080 10-bit LCD panel of Sumo is operated with one AtomHDR engine that can map the Log/PQ/HLG precisely from the popular cameras, TV makers or gaming consoles to resolve 10+ stops of HDR perfectly on an immediate basis. The vivid colors and brightness range of HDR can bring scenes to life in the case of output to larger Rec709/HDR displays for the purpose of onset review or on the monitor. Besides, this recorder can also be operated with popular grading or NLE suites for cost-effective SDR or HDR grading or editing in the studio.

Record up to four channels of 1080/60p, live switch, playback and 4 x ISO record:
This recorder allows for switching and mixing live records and recording or streaming 4 x HD ISO recordings by using the QuadLink SDI connections. Besides, here it is also possible to switch between crossfade, feeds on screen with cueing and hard cuts from the tag or locked sources and therefore to adjust the final edits with the advanced metadata tagging while preserving ISO feeds to get the desired final result, which is infinitely editable.

10-bit ProRes/DNxHR, 12-bit Raw up to 4kp60:
Depending on the capability of the camera, here it is possible to capture RAW production from Canon C300MKII/ C500, Panasonic Varicam LT or Sony FS5/FS7/FS700 over SDI up to 10-bit Apple ProRes / Avid DNxHR up to 4Kp60 / 2Kp240 or 12-bit 4Kp30. Besides, the camera processing ability of this recorder can actually preserve perfect quality directly from the sensor along with the maximum data rate of 3.2 Gbps. Here the user can directly record the high facility and the availability of 2.5” SSD offers a reasonable solution for the long times of recording.

1200nit 19” calibrated High Bright 1920x1080 monitor:
Atomos Sumo comes with 1200nit extremely bright display where one can monitor accurately even in the outside in daylight. Besides, there is an optional hood available for the ultimately isolated viewing performance. Like other high-end monitors available in the market, this also has the calibration to recompense for the brightness and natural color drift, which monitors the exhibit over the time. The calibration input of Sumo allows the users to use X-Rite’s i1DisplayPro to ensure accurate Rec709 and HDR monitoring.

Balanced XLR monitor and the ability to record with 48V Phantom:
Atomos Sumo eliminates the requirement of another audio recorder with the help of full-scale XLR connections that power and connect peripheral microphones for receiving balanced analog audio along with dedicated adjustments and meters from the frame delay and gain. Line level audios or 48V phantom mics are synchronized seamlessly for the most updated audio feature, which is these days set in the monitors. Besides, there are built-in speakers and 3.5mm stereo headphone jack for instant on set immersive review or review of total internal recording anywhere and anytime with the production team or clients.

Quad HDMI & SDI 2.0 in/out:
Sumo can connect seamlessly to any HDMI or SDI device and can also convert between 3G Quad Link/6G/12G and HDMI 2.0 SDI in almost any combination. The Quad SDI inputs can connect the cameras with numerous 3G SDI or 1.5 outputs without needing any converter. HDMI 2.0 supports maximum 4Kp60 output/input along with the most updated Atomos open protocol, which can support HDR automation that includes importing of the camera settings. Besides, there is support available for LTC timecode and Genlock.

Hardy construction and options for mounting:
