The AJA ROI-DP DisplayPort to SDI with ROI scaling allows high-quality conversion of computer DisplayPort outputs to baseband video over SDI at an economical price. The ROI-DP offers extensive audio functionality, incredible image scaling as well as aspect and frame rate conversion.
Region of Interest
ROI Mini-Converter can be connected via USB to a computer running the free Mini-Config application. This allows the users to select a Region of Interest from the incoming computer signal and have full control over how that region is scaled to the output resolution using AJA’s high-quality scaling algorithms for the cleanest picture quality possible.
Conversion
Take full control of aspect ratio conversion with on-screen controls in the Mini-Config software that shows you exactly what your source and output will look like and what formats are coming in and going out. It also provides simple menu controls that let you choose the proper output for any situation. The output will be mirrored to both the 3G-SDI and HDMI outputs for simultaneous delivery to multiple displays or continuing signal paths.
Connectivity
ROI uses a direct loop through, allowing it to be placed in-line, so you still have a connection to an external monitor while extracting to SDI. The reference input ensures the SDI signal out of ROI is locked for use throughout a production or facility.
Audio Support
ROI support 2-channel audio from the 3.5mm analog audio input or embedded 8-channel audio from a DisplayPort input. The audio source and routing can be selected manually in the Mini-Config software and is embedded in the SDI output. This allows computer audio to be embedded within the SDI signal for simple, synchronized routing.
Compact and Portable
All AJA Mini-Converters use a compact design that suitable for tight spaces, around and behind equipment racks, on camera, and trucks. This converter has a locking power connector that can't be removed accidentally or pull loose. Another feature is the P-TAP power cable that allows for battery power in remote locations.
Universal Power Supply
All AJA Mini-Converters are shipped with a universal power supply, which includes an international plug connection for use around the world.
AJA Mini-Matrix
All AJA’s Mini-Converters are now available as a mobile app on iOS. This feature allows the user to have control over their Mini-Converters though an app. This app helps the user to find a convenient converter for any type of situation, if is needed.
